Well the Marlins are getting damn close to being the shittiest franchise in sports...

They've been that for many years and Jeffrey Loria has been the worst owner in the world of sports for years.

^^^Ha, nothing is below Loria and company.

Yankees at .500!

I like where they are headed.  And Eovaldi doing well,  I wish Bird was around. I feel like Tex wouldn't be playing like shit if he knew there was someone who could take his job.

 EPIC Minor league Manager meltdown...

/Now that is how you do it. Punting second base. Inspired.

That ranks up there with Lloyd McClendon taking 1st base with him after getting ejected. A timeless classic.

Julio Urias is making his MLB debut tomorrow for the Dodgers against the Mets and DeGrom.  I'm trying my best to manage my expectations, but dammit, I'm excited!

me too!

the kid is seriously good. the rotation is kind of shaky outside of the Clayton.  hopefully urias helps settle it down.

also the dodgers need the great leader back and soon!

So Wade Boggs wore his Yankee World Series ring when the Red Sox retired his number.

And Jackie Bradley Jr's hit streak ended, and Clay Buccholz remained Clay Buccholz. An accursed night. But, my friend's choral group sang the national anthem at Fenway that night, so that was nice.

Desperation move early by Los Doyers? A 19 year old kid who has like 40+ innings in Double A? Good luck with that.

Desperation move or not, I'm pretty worried... the Mets have not handled lefties well this year at all.

I was disappointed that his streak ended.

Yeah, the kid might be pretty good. It just seems like they are going to him a bit early. Only time will tell, I guess.

They haven't committed to him even being on the roster beyond this start, so they aren't exactly pinning all of their hopes on him yet.  He was only called up for this start because Alex Wood is being held back for a few days.

Maybe he'll go out and get rocked tonight, who knows.  But he's been so dominant in Triple A that I think it's a good idea to at least give him a look on the big club right now.

Yeah, he hit shots to the CF and RF walls that I thought were both gone or at least XB hits too. Damn you Sox and your young studs.

I've heard folks comparing him to Fernando Valenzuela, but he's not nearly as fat or insipid looking as El Toro.

Talking shit about Fernando only makes you look pathetic and sad. is that truly the extent of your banter?

Nope, but in this instance I'll allow Tommy Lasagna to expand the conversation.
