I believe that is a double challenge! You boys give up Title and Avatar Mon-Fri of the following week if the Browns win, and I give up Avatar to Swordfish and Sig to Winterfella (or vice versa) for the week if the Steelers win.

Nothing like showing up for work on a Mon- trying to shake off a hangover after both the Browns and Buckeyes failed me this weekend. I will be checking in periodically to take my lumps. Winterfella and Swordfish- PM me with the details.

Would probably be awesome.

Totally rexceded my rexpectations. I had premarital rex after the dime ball.

Why was my first thought on seeing Rex take practice snaps with Olin, "Oh, man, he's going to fumble!" Actually, my first thought was, "Oh man, Caliban won't need his Cialis today."

He was mistake-free and Berrian finally got behind a corner for a change. And he didn't fumble the few times he completely got waylaid by the blitz.

Well done, Rex.

Nah, you've got a good team to root for there now, though I know that loss must be painful after being up like that in the first half. The Steelers won't make it too far in the AFC if they continue to spot teams a lead like that. Obviously, I'm happy to just get the win, but that was an excruciating game to watch. I was certain they'd come back, but just as certain that they would fall just short, which is their typical M.O.

Honestly, good luck to the Browns the rest of the way. I hope they do make the playoffs... so we can beat them again. ;)

RLB, your new sig is on the way shortly.

As a Cowboys fan, I have to root against the Browns every week because the 'Boys have the Browns' #1 draft pick next year. But I kinda like the Browns. Young team (at least offensively)and I think they are going to be great once they get a few playmakers on defense. I got a kick out of the "divot" game yesterday. :P

So I went to bed before the end of the Colts-Chargers game but I did see 5 Manning picks (and I know there was one more on a game-ending hail mary) and I also heard that Vinatieri missed a 29 yard game winner. Has that guy ever made a clutch kick in his life? Hope Vanderjagt isn't so liquored up that he can't come back and save this team.

Bad times when the entire loss can be blamed on a combination of Ted Cottrell outwitting you and Darren Sproles running past you.

Are you serious here? Forgive me, doll. I just woke up and I can't differentiate sarcasm at the moment.

I'm advocating they drop Vinatieri and pick up Vanderjagt.

Go back to bed, My. :P

This is all a diabolical plan so the 'Skins can pick up Vinatieri, isn't it?

I think he's missed FGs lately due to the influx of playing that commercial where he's going through airline security and he keeps setting off the metal detector, myself. He ends up pulling out each and every one of his Super Bowl rings. It's ridiculous. The world only has enough room for one member of the Colts being overexposed on TV, and that is obviously Peyton Manning. (Plus, Manning's commercials actually make me laugh - between the mini-van pep talk and the

one...yep, I think we can safely say this is why the Colts are hurting. Nothing to do with Harrison, Clark, and key defensive players being out.)

I'm so disappointed in the Browns loss this week. I had titles and avs picked out for both Swordfish and Winterfella, that I will have to save until next year (or possibly the playoffs).

Proud new sponsor of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Kal:

I'm wrong about the PI call. The contact is not nearly as important as the fact that Hobbs runs right into Wayne's route, cutting it short. The contact is almost immaterial (its PI with or without the contact, and that freeze frame you provided shows Wayne grabbing Hobbs, but whatever). I should have shut my big mouth and went home. My issue was the description and that fueled my anger that it wasn't PI; which it was. No sarcasm here, I was wrong, you were right. People will now forget this and the next time there is a huge disagreement will say "Rockroi juast always thinmks he's right, and never admits when he's wrong, blah blah blah..."

Week 10:

-Upset that the Browns lost. Really like everything about that team including their coach. Their defense is terrible and will assuredly hamper them for some time. Oh, and it slikely that Quinn is going to go insane on the bench.

-The Chicago Bears beat the Oakland Raiders and we are now all supposed to think Rex is baaaaaack? How about this- play 6 games consistently without sucking, THEN and only then will I think rex can do anything for that franchise.

-The Colts don't have the guns on the ground to coast to the AFC Championship game. They are getting killed with injuries and Peyton is doing what he used to do: try to make every single pass no matter what the coverage is like, forcing passes and doing wayyyy too much. He lacks the offensive tools and his mistakes are the result of that. You cannot throw that many INTs and expect to win. I think this is the low point for the Colts (who basically locked up the AFC Championship game for the Pats with this loss), and they are at a crossroads: if they can get healthy, they can be dangerous. If they cannot, they remind me of the 2005 and 2006 Pats: injury plagued, limping into the playoffs, doing the best they can but seriously outgunned.

-Pats don't cover for the second week in a row. Stupid BYE.

-I am starting to believe that I have to believe in the Packers. I don;t like the idea, but they win.

-The Cowboys just seperated themselves from the rest of the NFC (with the exception of the Packers). The Giants came in and embarrased themsleves and I think showed that there is more "paper" than "tiger" in there. They were just beaten by the better team. And Plaxico is hurt.

-Miami sucks.

That game was the definition of heartbreaker. We held the Chargers to 10 offensive points and would have won were it not for two missed Vinatieri field goals. One from only 29 yards!

What a rollercoaster ride of crap.

I think Manning needs to retire. Six picks. He's lost it. Time to do funny sprint commercials with his wife.

He's still the best quarterback in the league thank you very much. One bad night does not equal the end of a career. Or are you trying to troll?

I can't explain those picks. I want to. The rain, Clark and Harrison replaced by guys who've seen the ball only a handful of times, a tough defense putting pressure on Peyton. But with six interceptions the Chargers only won because Vinatieri missed a field goal.

EDIT:

Sorry Space Bandito I just saw that you are a Patriots fan. That explains it. My condolences.

-Miami sucks.

If the Patriots can manage a perfect season, and the Dolphins can manage to go winless, and this causes Nick Buonconti's black, black heart to explode from no longer being the voice of the undefeated 72 Dolphins, then I am in favor of the Pat's continued success.

Somehow, though, the weasel will just switch from orange and aqua to red, white and blue, and talk about his time with the Pats in the 60s, rather than his Phins years.

I mentioned this to Dub last night.

Does anyone else think that Brett Favre has sold his soul to the devil? Between Favre's resurgence at QB, to the sudden emergence of this "running game" that they lacked until they faced the number one run defense in the league, to the injury Adrian Peterson suffered at the hands of the Packers...doesn't this all equate to some serious devil-dealing?

This team could realistically end up 14-2 or 13-3. Who ever thought they'd say that?

The Chargers won because they had better special teams and made less mistakes. Am I trying to troll? I realize sarcasm is hard to read on a message board, but if you read the progression of posts I was joking. I dislike Manning as a person, but respect him as a player.

Sorry my internet sarcasm meter is broken

How can you dislike someone you've never met and just seen on television?
