Calibandar
I like the artwork for The Scar from the Dyachenko's. But will the book be able to live upto it? Many of Tor's recent debuts have been subpar. City of Dragons, let's say that I m abeginning to get used to them, but it's still a far cry from those wonderful John Howe covers. If only they'd stayed with him.

williamjm
Retribution Falls by Chris Wooding (new UK cover art). I definitely preferred the original cover, although at least it isn't quite the infamous Hooded Man who seems to be appearing on every book cover nowadays, even if it does look a bit like the Hooded Man wearing a hat instead of a hood. I can see how one could get that impression, but the original cover captured the essence of the book much better.

williamjm
Upcoming UK cover art from Gollancz: Tuf Voyaging by George R.R. Martin. I like that cover, although I suspect a few unobservant people might end up expecting another medieval fantasy if they haven't looked at the details of the shield all that closely.
