I think if he's taken to the Long Barrow where Iron Emmett reigns with the spearwives he will be protected long enough to rise again. As Maester Aemon said, ice preserves. How he will return to his body is unclear to me, but I have no doubt that he won't stay dead for long -- just long enough to turn his morality a dark shade of grey.
