The Pain Yak
I'm feeling like a sadist for taking such pleasure in the Unsullied reactions.
Mendoza
The reaction on the internet is as I suspected. The TV Viewers love the Starks and their wolves. That can not be understated. So, while hardcore book readers may not like the Robb/Talisa stuff, find it boring, it works perfectly as an adaption because it got across how much Robb was Ned's son, for better or for the worse. Cybvep
Our worries about the RW not being shocking enough have been just flushed down the toilet with a loud splash :D. I'm enjoying the Unsullied reactions immensely. Yeah, I'm not a nice guy.
eetrebor
Some people are ridiculously overreacting (from episode thread at TWoP): Yep, the show jumped the shark tonight IMO. What is there to watch anymore? It's a show with vile, disgusting people that have no morality or core. Perhaps humanity is only this, but frankly I have better things to do with my time than to wallow in this gore and torture porn crap. HBO, you can have it. I'm done. I don't give a fuck what happens next week or next year. BTW, I suspect there are a lot of people just like me that won't tune in again.
Penguin king
I love how people blame the writers or HBO, without realising that the Red Wedding has been in print for nearly 13 years. It's like going to see a production of hamlet then blaming the stage director when everybody dies.
The Anti-Targ
Any rage quitters will eventually hear how Joff bites it and they'll come back, then they'll see Tywin bite it and all will be right with the world. At least it'll be 2 seasons before Jon gets the knife. Spidey
Some people are ridiculously overreacting (from episode thread at TWoP):Didn't we all, back when we read the book?
eetrebor
It was big "oh shit" moment for me, but didn't make want to stop reading. So all these people wanted to rage quit the show is seemingly an overraction.
franko99
Didn't we all, back when we read the book? No, the RW is the chapter that make me go from "this is a great serie" to "ASOIAF is the best thing I've ever read in my life", unlike most people in this forum, I didn't throw the book, I start reading faster the next chapters, and I was rewarded with the PW only a ferw chapters away
sagaz
I've changed my mind about one thing. I hope Tywin Lannister meets up with a terrible end. I hope Robb Stark's Zombie corpse trundles right into the Throne room and grinds him into Nasty Soulless Powder. Actually, forget that. I hope that Talisa Stark's Zombie Corpse corners them all and one by one, makes them sing that stupid song as she kills them. as usual, the TWoP unsulied are on their way... #Zombies
jamesrivers
I felt the same way when I found out about the Red Wedding. Though I was unsullied at the time, having watched the first two seasons of GoT that way, only to find out about the RW on a youtube spoiler (damn Youtube!). Originally I was pissed, and I cursed GRRM, but the RW spoiler was what made me want to start reading. My main point being I wanted justice.I wanted justice from Ned Stark's death, and then I wanted justice from the Red Wedding. I guess I got it, but it wasn't so gratifying by the way it happened (well maybe Tywin's was). Still waiting to see Walder Frey and Roose Bolton die horrible deaths. Jory Cassel
No, the RW is the chapter that make me go from "this is a great serie" to "ASOIAF is the best thing I've ever read in my life", unlike most people in this forum, I didn't throw the book, I start reading faster the next chapters, and I was rewarded with the PW only a ferw chapters away :devil:both. It was pretty sad, even more than in the show because of all the bannermen, but of course suspension and curiosity concerning how the story goes on prevailed. Buckwheat
Reactions on the Internet are ... emotional. From Nezzer on the last page:I swear if they behead Robb, Talisa, Catelyn, Blackfish and whoever died and have them hanging above spikes on the bridge, it'll be too much.Oh sweet summer children ...
Cybvep
It's funny how this episode had sth to shock anyone. Fetus stabs, Robb's death, Cat's anguish and death, Grey Wind dying, no Arya-Cat reunion, Walder Frey's smirks, Bolton being a creep, Edmure's blissful ignorance. Take your pick. Jorah the Explorer
I need some "professional" Unsullied reactions! Any links? Whenever I search on Google it brings me to reviews by book readers (i.e. Forbes) and frankly I don't care what they have to say.
franko99
My hope is not gone quite yet. The books are quite popular. There HAS to be some good left to happen or I don't think they would sell.I really wanted to tell this guy that wait, by the end of book 5 Stark are well possitioned to return to power. Lannisters will get theirs, Greyjoy, Tyrell and Martell will fight eachother, Bolton will meet justice at the hand of Stannis and the awesome Manderlys."The wolves will come again" and "Revenge you want will be yours in time". And of course "The north remembers"
Lord Commander Coulson
I love how some non-readers are overreacting so much to the wedding, can't understand how you could swear off a show because of it. It was one of the best episodes of the season, I can't wait for the aftermath.
jamesrivers
Looks like they're going through the stages of grief and are currently on: anger.Acceptance will come eventually, as it did for us book readers.
