  1. Past hour
  2. No worries, just wanted to emphasize it was the Oversight Committee because on both sides it’s chock full of..rabble rousers, to put it nicely. And that’s intentional because (1) there’s no money in it and (2) the committee is where partisan bickering is going to be most rife. In other words, this was almost inevitable.
  3. If Leverkusen win those two remaining games it's got to be a strong contender for best debut season for a manager ever, surely. Double blow for Arsenal with Saka and Bowen out today.
  4. I don't know about ill-defined. Isn't it just the timeframe that you expect a team to be able to compete? The end of that timeframe usually being age or salary considerations.
  5. When they have they’ve won. Again, please identify when they haven’t and/or what players should be on the current roster and aren’t. Only one I can think of off the top of my head is Brunson maybe?
  6. It's Bayer Leverkusen, the Bundesliga's probably more difficult for them to go undefeated in than the Premier League was for Arsenal in 03/4. They didn't even get into the Champions League last year ffs.
  7. Did the writer of “True Detective” plagiarize Thomas Ligotti and others?
  8. That they have sent the same strength squad as now and suffered embarassing losses many times previously, so.... This is a squad of big names, not big players. They've lost when the US had the 5 best players in the world. Now your best is 5th best, and that's because you stole him. You've lost when US v rest of the world would be a walkover, it would now but the other way. How can you be so weirdly patriotic and arrogant?
  9. The pl then wasn't as strong. And they have done it in the cup and Europe as well.
  10. So your point about them sending their best players and being utterly embarrassed many times was…..
  11. K. Probably. But this deadline it was pretty clear teams weren’t trading difference-makers for draft picks. For whatever reason(s), the market changed. Some of this obviously had to do with how poorly the current draft is viewed, part of it also probably has to do with the play-in tourney makes more teams convince themselves they have a shot. There’s probably at least three or four more reasons certain teams weren’t willing to trade their guys. Anyway, my point is “windows” is an ill-defined term that doesn’t actually mean anything.
  12. Yeah, come back when they do it in an actually competitive division.
  13. Well these aren't the 12 best American players either, so.....
  14. I’m there for you on Cloak and Dagger. His filmography is substantial but the other movie, that immediately jumped to mind was Modern Problems where he was Chevy Chase’s foil.
  15. That's why you trade the mystery beans for known commodities if you're in a win now space. Presti failed to do that. Idk who they should have gone after, but staying put was clearly not the smart play. It would have been wise to trade some of their expendable future picks to get better immediately.
  16. I too would feel really validated because I've been telling people forever that Stannis is evil
  17. Lol. “Because I’m pulling shit out of my ass as we go along.” Draft picks themselves only last 4-5 years. Which, again, highlights how the term is a pointless buzzword.
  18. I'd say it was more just Moff trying another 'everybody lives' and it not landing because it's a different sort of story to those two and didn't fit as well (admittedly not everyone lived in Forest of the Dead either but he pretended they did).
  19. When? Here’s a pretty comprehensive list of USA basketball losses this century. Please identify the roster that wasn’t missing a number of their best players.
