Westeros
The Making Game of Thrones blog has posted a new season 4 video, this time introducing the show’s new production designer, Deborah Riley. A lot of glimpses of new sets, discussion of all the work that is involved in one of the most intricate television productions in the world, and also some glimpses of characters old (in brand new costumes, in some cases) and new:Making Game of Thrones: Deborah RileyOn a related note, the Game of Thrones production has a tremendous crew working for it, many of them Northern Ireland locals, so it’s no surprise that Belfast’s growing reputation as a place with a lot of skilled craftsmen and production workers has led to more demand for studio space to accommodate more productions.Visit the Site! Titan
Nice! I really do like the glimpses we get of Mereen and Braavos style.
Obebb
Bran by that tree again...!!! I want to see something with the Bran clan away from that thing. I'm starting to hate trees.

joachim
Man, look at Jorah trying to explain himself. Sansa has her back to the Moon Door. I must be permitted to say that I resent the degree to which this show has me by the short and curlies. For me, there's been nothing quite like it since the first two seasons of Battlestar Galactica. Chuck88
Bran by that tree again...!!! I want to see something with the Bran clan away from that thing. I'm starting to hate trees. Starting to think it's his only scene :O
Chuck88
Mentioned this in another thread but it's good to see Grenn and presumably Edd survived Craster's Keep. If you pause around 32 seconds in you can see him amongst the crowd, as well as Alliser Thorne and what looks like a mutton-chopped Janos Slynt atop the podium. joachim
My mistake. Lysa is standing in front of the Moon Door, Sansa to the side.
Newstar
Moon Door!!!! (Sansa's hair still looks auburn, doesn't it? Kind of hard to tell. It looked auburn in that shot from behind from the trailer, too.) I also wonder why Gemma Jackson left the show, although I'm sure Deborah Riley is doing a fine job. Colonel Green
Moon Door!!!! (Sansa's hair still looks auburn, doesn't it? Kind of hard to tell. It looked auburn in that shot from behind from the trailer, too.) Yeah, I think it's pretty conclusive at this point that "Alayne Stone" is only a name change. I'd say it was the producers showing a lack of faith in the audience, but then, many casual viewers still don't know the characters' names after three years -- switching over to have everyone address her as "Alayne" will be confusing enough for some of them. Ignorant Bog Woman
Nice to see the Eyrie set again. And that must be the exile knight getting exiled once more.

Queen of Whores
Wow, Dany's dress at the start, so weird but sexy.Jon marching like a boss in Night's Watch gear through Castle Black. Epic.I absolutely love the attention to detail that goes into this show, all the sets, props and concept arts. Nearly rivals the insane-level of LOTR. Conchobar
Gemma was hardly fired was she? As preposterous as that sounds. Maybe she wasn't feeling well and needed to take a leave of absense.

But we officially still got nothing on Edd being in Season 4, do we? That really bothers me. But, come on, they won't just write Edd out of the show, would they? LaylaC
Is that Sansa next to Cersei on Joffrey's wedding?
boojam
Anyone know why gemma left? That's been a long time mystery, it does not seem to be over artistic differences. IMDB lists her with no new projects, and she is an Emmy winner, and an Oscar nominee. I saw a tine squeak somewhere that her husband was ill... but can't confirm that. boojam
Even if the KL throne room is not as big as GRRM's , the show's , for a TV show is quite impressive. Sigh, GRRM's grand throne room in the Great Pyramid at Meereen is, as far as I can infer from George's books bigger than the KL room. Alas this one looks rather wimps and where is the marble? Could some green screen CGI work have been done at Paint Hall?
Godsbraid
Can the clip at 0:37 be Cersei and Margarey after the Purple Wedding ?They don't look very happy + Cercei is dressed in black... :dunno:
