Happy Ent
Was my first thought but can't be. Marked. Easily rationalised. “Cishaurim have no Mark” is probably just a conspiracy instigated by Moënghus himself anyway.
Anatúrinbor
Remember the 'Meppa Cataract' and 'Meppa = Sasheoka' theories? Meppa started off as a Scarlet Spires. It's only after Moenghus assassinated kidnapped him that he removed his mark.Eta, Grimdarkmagazine.com has cover art of issue #2 which features the main character from Bakker's story. Hello World
Wait, the Meppa = Sasheoka wasn't a joke? (I know, look who's talking.)

Hello World
Sorry, I edited the last post. The correct name of Kian’s language is Kianni. As for Shigek, this is all I could find, SOROPTIC—Lost language of ancient Shigek. Which might not be very relevant.
Larry of the Lawn
I think sheyic is the go-to, but we know there's that the Ainoni, Tydonni and Galeoth all have the own languages. Not sure about the Conriyans and Thunyeri, but it seems like they must. Was wondering what language.Meppa would be from, and then why there.Cishaurim with a C and Kishuari with a K. Anatúrinbor
I doubt that the Fanim's go-to language was Sheyic, I think Mallahet translated Skauras's Kiani into Sheyic in TDTCB. If the Kianene empire had a default language, Kiani was most likely it.
Calibandar
So when is the story in the magazine actually being released, has that been clarified? I'm sure I'd buy it.
Calibandar
Double.
Hello World
The first part is in the January 1 2015 issue. Since the magazine is published quarterly, the earliest the second part is coming out is in April. Also, someone posted in the other thread that the April issue will have a new Bakker interview, which to me is just as interesting as the story. Madness
I believe it's a March issue.

Months apart? Fucking hell, how cynical can you get? Next time Shauriatas contacts me for another soul to chain and leech from, I might just point my finger at a certain marketing department. Well maybe that's a bit harsh.
Madness
Not Bakker's fault. Grimdark caps shorts at 4000 words and Bakker's story, if I recall correctly, was well over double that.

Yeah I didn't assume that this was Scott's idea. He doesn't rank very high on the cynical marketeers list, most would agree ;)
