Given what we know now, I wonder if Sophie's talk about the end of Sansa's story this seeing being "the most ambiguous thing ever" relates to some version of the Pink Letter, and means that the show will end leaving the audience wondering what happened to everybody at Winterfell.

We have a shot of Tyrion appearing teary eyed in the trailer. BooK!Tyrion was much to hardened and depressed to have those kind of emotions. I think his arc is changing to show the hardened, depressed Tyrion in episode one, but he begins a journey of experiencing poverty, traveling the Long Bridge and such. They'll use this as a springboard to show why the Sparrow movement is growing, albeit in Westeros. They'll be a line about poverty existing everywhere, etc.

With regards to Talisa... I think Tyrion and Jorah go to get a ship for Meereen, or boat, w/e, from the Maeygrs instead of the widow of the waterfront. The Maegyrs are known as a good, caring family, one of the few who help the slaves and poor. Tyrion meets Talisa's mother who hears he's from westeros. She explains she hasn't heard from her pregnant daughter who married a King named Robb, and asks if he knows anything. Tyrion hadn't heard of Talisa before, or her pregnancy, and is forced to conclude Tywin had a pregnant girl killed because she had Robb's son. He breaks the news to her.

Good lord I hope not. I'd rather see Yara invade Casterly Rock only to be scared off by dogs and shirtless boys then spend one minute with that arc.

Does anybody have a clue who that woman in Essos was?

Once again, it is most likely a Red Priestess giving a speech to slaves with Varys and Tyrion witnessing the scene.

But maybe (and I hope), they'll get to meet her aftewards and she'll get some Moqorro (or Benerro) lines.

That or her last scene is like. Marrying Ramsay. Not that that makes any sense. But I can't make heads or tails of any of it. I'm of the mind Turner was talking about a scene she was in rather than a letter read in another plot line, though it could be the start of an attack on Winterfell or something.

Maybe the stuff with the Priestess in Volantis links up with what Varys says to Tyrion about Dany.

Nope, cause that dialogue will be in episode 1. It is cleary at the villa of Illyrio.

Horses don't fly.

Great retort. Makes so much sense.

The dragon is big enough for a rider. He may not be full grown, but he's not even full grown in the books when Dany rides him, so this argument is dumb. If the show wants Dany to ride the dragon, she'll ride the fricken' dragon.

I think what the poster meant was that the red pristess talking about Dany to the slaves is going to reinforce what Varys said about Dany in episode one about a ruler loved by millions.

...and why wouldn't Dany be able to ride that version of Drogon, he was easily larger than a horse and people ride horses....if a horse can take an extra 120 pounds on its back...there's no way a dragon couldn't.

Dany can ride this version of Drogon. They're not going to waste CGI budget on making Drogon different sizes throughout the Season. The Dragons were one size in Season 2, 3, and 4.

It's not truly another plotline, since the Wall and Winterfell are intertwined, and the Pink Letter is a teaser for what happened at Winterfell. Also, if they're doing that, no doubt the final scenes with the characters at and around Winterfell would be some kind of cliffhanger setup.

Why do people worry about the CGI budget?

Time-Warner has HBO on no leash for this season.

Horses don't fly.

Well no. But according to the laws of physics, no dragon could fly either. The general maximum wing load for flight is 25 kg/m^2, which means that a full grown dragon would need wings that are literally miles long.

But its fantasy, so its fine. Which means that if a dragon is the size of a horse or bigger, accept that it could carry a person; that's a much smaller stretch then what is already happening.
