Puntificator
The Kindle editions of all five of R. Scott Bakker's "Prince of Nothing" and "Aspect Emperor" novels are suddenly, as of this afternoon, not currently available for sale on Amazon in the USA (Amazon UK still has them for sale). I hope this doesn't portend some kind of problem. Any one aware of what's going on?
Ser Drizztos
Seems like he was unpublishable after all.
Puntificator
Seems like he was unpublishable after all. If that were the issue, his non-Kindle editions would be gone too, as well as the Kindle editions in the UK and the Nook versions.
Ser Scot A Ellison
Sounds like a glitch.
Larry of the Lawn
He's probably revising them like Seswatha and the Isuphiryas.
SkynJay
If they go back up at a price more in line with other e-books then I will finally own some of his stuff.
Puntificator
Sounds like a glitch. Well I certainly hope so, but the same thing happened to Sam Sykes' "The Aeons' Gate" Kindle books a few months ago, and they're still not available.on Amazon in the US. Hello World
Goes to my theory that Earwa is the real world and our world is a simulation made by the Inchoroi. It makes sense for the books to disappear then coz the end of the world is happening over there in the real world.

Gasp of Many Reeds
He's probably revising them like Seswatha and the Isuphiryas. The Second Apocalypse - now with added Heron Spear!
MinDonner
As long as Vivian St Black is still available we're all safe.
Puntificator
Browsing amazon US from Europe, all his books appear to be available for $9.24 (Kindle edition). Well, not when browsing from the USA, which is what counts if someone in the US wants to purchase one. That's also odd for another reason: they've never been priced that low. I am concerned that the "Prince of Nothing" and "Aspect Emperor" trilogies may become unavailable for a long time, or even permanently, in the USA. This is not mere paranoia. Today, the Nook Book versions disappeared as well. This seems to eliminate the theory that it is just a glitch on the USA Amazon website. Perhaps there is some problem with ebook distribution rights; if so, this could have serious consequences re their availability.
Ser Drizztos
Well, then I'll fall back to my theory about Bakker being unpublishable (in the US) and retailers being forced to BLOT OUT EVERY SIGN OF HIS PASSING.But have you, as ludicrous as this might sound now, contacted amazon and asked them what's up? I did it immediately upon noticing their absence, and before posting here. I received back a noncommittal response that read like a form letter, saying there could be many reasons a book no longer appears at Amazon, and that they would forward my concerns (but the e-mail didn't say to whom). And before I'm asked, I also e-mailed Bakker from his website, but have not yet received a reply. And once again, if he were being "blotted out," his paperbacks and audio books would go too, but they haven't. Also, the Kindle versions of his Neuropath and Disciple of the Dog books are still available; they are not from the same publisher as his "Prince of Nothing" and "Aspect Emperor" novels, which further fuels my concern that this disappearance may be happening as a result of an issue with ebook distribution rights. Why don't you contact the publisher and ask, for the good of us all? (Or at least the good of those who want to read Bakker's ebooks.)
MinDonner
Maybe Bakker's finally gone full Tairy on us and has decided to self-publish everything in order to stop the h8rs capitalising on his work.
