[Book Spoilers] E10 Preview - possible developments

Recommended Posts

I think he's talking to Jorah - and I'm also still not convinced Hizdar is dead - he's clearly the harpy.

It's Jorah (obvious choice) or Daario. Hizdar is very dead and he wasn't part of it.Just look here -> http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/season-5/episode-9/people/179/hizdahr-zo-loraq

I have a feeling that Davos will end up escorting Sam and Gilly to Oldtown in the final episode

I actually hope that's true.

I'm trying to remember, didn't Sam see a shipwreck on Skagos on the way to Oldtown? That might take care of the wtf is Rickon issue as well.

Last years season finale was pretty epic and I expect the finale of the season to be more than meets the eye.

The only thing I fear is seeing FTW left on a cliffhanger.

They might do it. Kit gave an interview and said something about after promoting upcoming movie he's going off the grid for a while. So...that might be why.

I think Daario is still the Harpy.

Certainly looked like the Harpies could have easily taken down Dany and everyone protecting her at the end of the episode.

So Daario betrayed her and Tyrion calls him out.

i don't think its daario. It would be weird then since his reaction shots to the harpy attack seems to be genuine surprise especially his face when hizdar is killed.

Isn't it an old sound clip of Tyrion saying that to Jorah? Just like Jaime's "you don't choose who you love" is an old sound clip from when he said that to Brienne?

The first scene in the preview looks like Valyria with the smoky mists in the background.

Hmm. I haven't seen that thought yet. I'm not sure why we would go to Valyria in the finale though. There hasn't really been a consistent opinion though on what it is so who knows.

Other thoughts were Moat Cailin, not many reasons why we would see that either and it's hard to verify vs. Other times we have been there.

Also, Mereereen or right outside it, geography looks different then we have seen in slavers bay but there are reasons we would be there, i.e. Dany.

Hizdahr getting stabbed doesn't preclude him from having colluded with the other wise masters up to that point. He was literally in bed with the enemy. Or was going to be, anyway. Easy to say that the other masters/conspirators decided Hizdahr was no longer useful. It may just be a double-cross.

the easiest explanation often leads to the best results --> there is no "Harpy".

the Sons of the Harpy are only a loose terrorist-organisation with no clear leader - at least with no leader that is established or important for the show, and this would surely NOT be Hizdahr since he died at their hand.

That would be useful for the story? For all effects, he was innocent till his end (even tried to spirit Dany from the Pit). It serves no purpose plotwise to have him as part of a conspiracy which he tried to frustrate even in its most clear moment of victory. Had he stabbed Dany right when Daario was busy and Jorah too far away, the Harpies would've won.

:agree:

The photo of Margaery hugging Tommen hasn't happened yet so Margaery gets released like she does in the books. What about Loras?

This almost guarantees an appearance from Littlefinger/Olenna, they must have had something to do with it.

If they are old clips they may be using them as an empasis for a particular scene rather than as part of the scene. Or a hint.

I just watched the preview and Jaime's voice over "You can't chose whom you love" is at the point we see Cersei and her VO "I was alone and afraid". Combined I wonder if that hints to her confession?

The second VO with Tyrion happens while we see Arya looking at a mask. First we here Arya's "You're no one" and then immediately Tyrian's "You betrayed her" as if it is one sentence. What could that mean or refer to? I'm not sure.

But if Cersei confesses incest what happens to Tommen and Myrcella? I can't see Cersei putting her children at risk like that. She'd die first. Her one of two redeeming qualities.

-Brienne & co eventually meet up with Stannis' army; Melisandre asks her if she intends to kill him

Essos

-Dany awakes next to Drogon, surrounded by Dothraki, who recognize Drogon as the Stallion who will mount the world. A new Khalasar for Dany.

Castle Black

-Jon recruits hundreds of wildlings (that aren't going south with Tormund) for the NW. As he goes to the Heart tree to have them swear their oath, Jon gets FTW'd. Aliser Thorne actually tries to subdue Olly after he attacks Jon. Cut to Jon bleeding in the snow and fade to black.
