This is it! This is exactly what's going on. When I got in to work today after not being here since Sunday day, I asked the two unsullied I work with how they liked the last two episodes. Neither one had seen them yet (even though they are "huge" fans) but the only focus they had about the show is the big battle with Jon Snow and "that other guy".

That's as deep as it goes  :dunno:

Game of Thrones is great spectacle

Game of Thrones is horrible story

Unfortunately too many people can't tell the difference

Whats funny is that they pay lip service to the idea that Ramsay's behavior will lead to his down fall, but they have zero follow through so far.

I wonder if Tyrion failing to negotiate an alliance with the slavers is a response to the saint Tyrion criticism, ala what they are trying and failing to do with Sansa.  It won't matter though when Dany or the greyjoys capture half of the invading fleet though

unfortunately logic would dictate that Tyrion be killed or exiled for what he did, bet that don't happen

You are right - I forgot.  Jon's resurrection amnesia is contagious.

No mention of Arya or Bran, Ghost is forgotten.  Who are these people and what have they done with the Starks?

Just a question... Was Bran trying to see Winterfell or the NK when he went on his rogue vision trip? If it is the first one, it means that the only Stark who cared about his family, home, ... was punished for the caring by the death of his wolf, mentor, friend, ... Jeey. That is sooo nice.

Ghost is hunting in the Wolfswood. (My headcannon of the show is full with hunting direwolves. It is a wonder there is still something to hunt. But then they have to be somewhere)/

Or maybe he and Mel were bonding somewhere else? Because Mel did also suddenly disappear :dunno: (Poor Carice).

@Meera of Tarth I think we do not want Ghost near any battle or any danger. Just let him hunt in the woods. He is having fun and is safe.

Oh yes.....the other day I rewatched 4.9 and Ghost helped in the battle. Then I had a feeling. What if he appears in the Battle of The bastards?

And I've just read your posts now. Given that Summer died, and that  they like re-introducing characters to suddenly kill them (Ghost has appeared this season but it's like he hadn't) I really really want him not to appear until things calm down.

I don't know exactly, but preseason speculation based on who-was-filming-where, seems to suggest that Olenna and Varys will be down in, oh gods alive, I hate the thought of typing this next part... Porne Dorne.

Is the show trying to reconstitute some sort of Quentyn or Queenmaker plot? I have no idea, but Marg did just send Olenna away and gave her the rose drawing (and some crayons, that happened off screen) to keep her grandmother busy on a long road to... somewhere. I think Marg wants to take down the High Cobbler herself.

Olenna and Varys aligning with Faullaria?  Huh?

At first glance, I would think so, although I assumed that  there had to be an element of predetermination with that kind of closed time loop that the show seemed to be adopting.

Edit: Just remembered, he went further North.  It was 3ER who took him to Winterfell, I assume to get back to that predetermined Hodoring.  (I blame 3ER - in the show, at least.)

You mean when he accidentally saw the NK?

I think he tried to return to Winterfell, but couldn't control where he went (and went North).

It's all speculation at this point. But last episode we saw both Olenna and the most famous eunuch in Dah World both leave their respective locales, and then we have the filming info that I linked to.

Don't shoot me if that doesn't happen. The only bullets that work on me are shots of Bulleit Bourbon

So wanting to see your family ... bad consequences

Revenge, desire for power ... everything falls in your arms

This is so nice message. I love this really. And certainly with how they were talking about the fact everything had to be taken for him (not really sure what the quote was except for the fact it made me really mad)

I guess it makes "sense" that the Tyrells will rebel against their daughter the Queen for not getting Loras released.

I think the rose drawing Marg gave to Olenna was her saying that she (Marg) is still a Tyrell and she is mature enough to start scheming. Maybe there is a TvTyrell plan to bring down the High Cobbler and then rule over ??? Not sure since we all know that oh-so-secret wildfire is hiding under all of KL. Maybe Cersei burns the place down after Porne and the Tyrell's ride back into KL to take control, and Marg "casts" Cersei down????

I've just noticed I haven't posted my weekly rants. Here they are:

-Tyrion's jokes and drinks. Ok, I can't stand him.

-Killing Lady Crane. I loved her scenes with Arya, but hated they just had to kill her, just like every character that appears in the show.

I really wanted Arya to join the theatre group and instead of travelling to the edge of the world, arya convincing them to go to Westeros. Would have been amazing. The theatre group has been the very best from the season, IMHO. But of course, good people have to die, and I won't comment on HOW the waif killed her. GRATUITOUS: STannis and BF are killed offscreen, but you need to see Lady Crane in that way.

-Jaime and Brienne. Mixed feelings with these. I've made a thread because I'm totally confused. Their meeting should not have been like this because they should be in love but considering the previous 15 episodes..... I expected worse things.

So, Considering my expectations were ..........(no words to describe them)... at least the actors showed some chemistry. Because Jaime is in love with Brienne while at the same time has an obsession with Carol. It's so confusing.disgusting. Even Bronn knows that!!!!!!!

BUt Jaime is stupid, what he said to Edmure just after seeing Brienne!!!! is MY BIGGEST RANT FROM THE EPISODE. I shouted "what?"""" and I knew that from the trailer....:bang:  Then, to make things more confusing, they have another goodbye scene, but after what he said to Edmure, it's not the same :(:( it doesn't feel good.

-Arya's ninja skills. My rant is about storytelling inconsistencies (you have just been stabbed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I loved the scene apart from that, but that's because I like:wub: the location.

-I forgot about THE BWB and the LSHish style. But that is too much for me. I am extremely disappointed.

Where and when did you see that? Everything good that's happened to Ramsay has been completely unrelated to his actions. He was gifted Sansa, Rickon and the loyalty of the Karstarks and Umbers without needing to do anything himself. Losing next eps battle because LF shows up at the end will be unrelated to his actions as well.

I supposed they might have it that Ramsay agreed to let LF occupy Moat Cailen and later ride to help him and then LF stabs him in the back. But if that's the case then Ramsay Bolton will go down because he trusted somebody he shouldn't have, which is just about the strangest point the show will have ever made, and I'm including the one where Daario explained that frightened men hide in walls with incriminating evidence.

And why would Ramsay trust LF anyway? Because his dad (who he murdered) made a deal with LF (who has shown up with an army uninvited) to an extremely sketchy alliance, the bedrock of which was Sansa (who Ramsay has lost)? I'm not buying that one either.

One more quick note on this... Once again, we have an article about the show, yet the author has to refer to the books to help explain what maybe going on or what happens "for real".

Ok, carry on ^_^

Also in Girona. It's funny because they didn't have to use CGI because the streets and the buildings don't need that. So it's not expensive!! You only need extras and lots of fruits!

Extra money---> for wolves please!!!!!!!!

HBO's version of bread and circuses.

My only consolation is that the first few seasons drove a remarkable number of viewers to read the books.

Fruit can be expensive.

I think they spend the extra money probably on something useless for their BIG BATTLE in THE AWESOME EPISODE 9.

if Jon dies, he can be resurrected again ;)

LSH didn't have that opportunity because she is not a SUper.

But I'm thinking if Jon is resurrected again...will he lose all his amazing :mellow:charisma?

The one that helped him to recruit soldiers, and when the dead are coming he'll need his fabulous persuasive skills
