Iskaral Pust
Arsenal are 100% in all competitions since their opening PL loss to Chelsea, which could have gone either way. They had a slightly kind fixture list for several games to help them grow into it, but Watford are a strong opponent in good form. It seems amazing how much flak Emery took. There are still improvements to make but Papa has improved as he settled, Torreira wasn’t ready to start for several games, he figured out that both Laca and Auba should start and one of Ozil/Ramsey/Mkhitaryan should not. They might get found out against a stronger opponent but they’re scoring goals and collecting points.

Auba on the left is mostly useless and Ramsey/Ozil can't play together. Iwobi and Welbeck were big time subs and might be better to start next week as their direct play and width was absolutely needed. Arsenal is a much better counter attacking team than possession. Still not playing well for the most part but he's getting points while figuring it out and that works for me. One thing I'll say is that even if they do play poorly, they play the full 90 minutes which is nice to see.

So rape. Yes, I am not sure if that's the same woman, or a different case. Either way, the shock/surprise value is not as high to me, that he would do such a thing. I mean, if you pay hush money over sexual assault, then a rape accusation popping up at some point isn't that surprising anymore imo.

Iskaral Pust
Frustrating. We’re better over all but missing chances. Then Hazard shows extreme efficiency against us. This is what we’ve been like this season but it’s the first time the opponent was good enough to take a lead against us.
Disturber of Peace
Keita and Shaquiri should come in.
Consigliere
Hazard should have buried that and put this game to bed. Chelsea looking dangerous on the counter.
Mark Antony
No creativity from that midfield trio as usual. No reason Keita shouldnt be starting these games imo. Thank you Daniel
Iskaral Pust
Well done Sturridge to rescue a point. We’ve been wasteful with chances all season, waiting for the front three to regain their form. It cost us today. Alisson did well when Chelsea were dangerous on the counter. AncalagonTheBlack
Sturridge you beauty! Alisson MOTM for me. He was like DDG today.
Disturber of Peace
Good game. Could have easily been 3-3. Yeah, so far this season when Salah gets the ball you dont think some magic will happen but you expect he will try to force something that wont work. So he is worse than Mane atm who at least doesnt overthink then fail with the more complicated thing. Shaquiri just seams more dynamic when he is on. Even tho he was wasteful too. Sturridge just seems to have things go his way atm. It would be risky starting to replace Salah and Mane more and more often if the exact cause of their underperformance is not pinpointed because they might just not regain form and confidence then while at the same time Sturridge might not have such efficiency in the future as this week or so. A Horse Named Stranger
Oh, almost forgot. If anybody here is interested in the C. Ronaldo rape story. Der Spiegel was so kind to offer an English version of their story on their HP for free. Sidenote Der Spiegel is arguably Germany's most reknowned News Magazine, so they really don't tend to publish stuff without some sort of evidence. In this case, the paper trail to settlement was apparently uncovered in the Panama Papers back in 2017. Ah read it yourself if you want.
Iskaral Pust
CL games return this week. Valencia are in terrible form ahead of their visit to Utd. Napoli have been in quite good form under Ancelotti until Juve just beat them at the weekend. They host Liverpool who looked to be tiring slightly on Saturday, especially in MF, as the games are accelerating. Spurs host Barcelona, who have only won four from seven in LaLiga so far. That could be a fun match-up. City will obliterate Hoffenheim. For finance, prestige and attracting players, CL is still a huge advantage. But for domestic league success, it has become a leveler: CL distraction and fatigue gives other teams a chance to be fresher and better coached for league games. For Liverpool last year it turned second place into fourth.

Results wise, yes, but Valencia have actually been playing quite well. Poor finishing has resulted in too many draws thus far. The shape United are in right now, Valencia are probably favourites for this game. 17 minutes ago, Iskaral Pust said: Spurs host Barcelona, who have only won for from seven in LaLiga so far. That could be a fun match-up. Spurs are going to be without Alli, Eriksen, Vertonghen and Dembele. Barca should win this one comfortably. Barca may have won 4 out of 7 league games but they've also been a bit unlucky hitting the woodwork 8 times.

Philokles
That’s the benefit of the new distribution of places. Even though there is not a second major team in this group, there are now three potentially dangerous group opponents and no guaranteed three points to kick start your campaign. I didn’t expect Hoffenheim to hold up that well given their injuries though. Grillitsch with Demirbay is an improvement in their midfield, but only Akpoguma would usually have stood a chance of starting a game of this magnitude in the back three. Philokles
Harsh on Hoffenheim. Especially when it comes from a mistake from the kid thrust in like that.
