Robert Mak made a rush on the goal and Wojciech Szczesny unfortunately tipped it in so they scored it as an "own goal", the first one ever at a Euro championship. I had to look that up. It's a very rare name, just 4,000 records of it on a name site that popped up, and a large majority are in Poland, with the US next. Polish immigrants, I bet. Origin unknown. On the other hand, his first name is Karol, a very popular boy's name in Poland, and who knows, born in 1995 he may have been named after the pope.
