A Horse Named Stranger
New thread, new silly place holder title. Also let's go Freiburg. Kick out Redbull.

polishgenius
This Chelsea group are absolutely laughable. I am reluctant to name them a team.

A Horse Named Stranger
Ok, switched off football. The Freiburg game was way too depressing.
A Horse Named Stranger
Ah pity Chelsea are already on 39 points. 5 points less and they'd be prime relegation contender.
Rorshach
Have to say, our group of players have to be exceptional. Lampard even won games here!

Corvinus85
The American cash infusion in English football continues. Retired NFL player J.J Watt and his wife, who is still an active professional soccer player, have invested in Burnley. https://frontofficesports.com/jj-watt-kealia-watt-invest-in-burnley-fc-english-premier-league/

A Horse Named Stranger
Yeah, but I doubt they'll be as stupid as Boehly (low bar and all). His wife at least knows a thing or two about football.

A Horse Named Stranger
Watford possibly with Ranieri last season. Edited May 2, 2023 by A Horse Named Stranger
Rorshach
Doesn't really make sense for Chelsea to do anything now. Season's a bust either way, and their absolutely best hope is to plan for next season with a new manager. We now know (as we all knew before he came too) that the new manager won't be Frank Lampard. His contract is up at the end of the season and he's most likely not going to extend. PSG actually suspending him does point towards the club knowing that he has no intention of renewing.
