Euron Greyjoy

I love Mads, he is terrific, I watched him since his beginnings in Denmark, but I really don't think he is that big of the star, he isn't some AAA list Hollywood guy making 7 figures per movie, they COULD get him if they dig their heels into it, but nothing in the series has never gone as I would like it so, we shouldn't count on it.

Oh, paywise they could snatch him, that's for sure. But Mads is already busy with Hannibal and he might not be willing to take on another TV-role. If he were to do both, he has a lot less freedom to star in films (like e.g. his new western the Salvation). And perhaps both shows are shot at the same time, making it impossible anyway.

The way I see it, they could only get him if Euron's plotline was kept very true to the books. Mads could act the shit out of that Kingsmoot speech and the conversation with Vic at the shield islands would be great as well. But it's very unlikely that the show will include those moments (no boobs after all). If he's in, they'll want to use Euron in a big way.

I must have missed something, since when is there a no boob rule in GOT?

I meant 'no boobs after all' as in 'there is no real opportunity in the Ironborn storyline to show a massive ammount of tits'. This in stark contrast with the Dornish storyline.

He can pull it off, flies in for the couple of days does the shoot and back again, Hannibal and GoT are filmed half a year apart so that is not a problem. I don't think TV is a issue either, it is all up to them to decide to bring him and up to him if he likes the role, but it can be arranged.

There are boobs on during conversation on Shield Islands, Lord Hewett's daughters, wife and daughters-in-law are naked serving crew and being raped by them, also Falia is with Euron and she can also be naked. Kingsmoot, yup, no boobs there

I'm sure Mads of love to be in the show, as GoT is one of the most popular shows on TV atm, so it can only give him more publicity as an actor. Plus I dont think he would be expensive, yes he is a fairly big actor, but he wouldn't be earning as much as Peter thats for sure. Even IF they could get him, GoT is not much of a time commitment, and especially in s5 even if Euron were to be combined with Vic, he would have like 4 scenes, not much at all. I think the only thing that could prevent Mads for GoT is if D&D even approach him for the role and availability (dont think hannibal will be a problem, but he is becoming more popular so more movies will be coming his way). However this is even IF we get Euron

Eh, probably not that kind of "good situations" to show some boobs.

I'm a woman, I'm a big Ironborn fan, but I won't deny that Vic beat his wife to death, Aeron's misogynic as hell and Euron... is Euron, and the most of the Ironborn are reavers and rapers (Still, I like them. Dunno why).

When you compare this to Dorne (which is, as I've seen, very, very beloved by feminists)... Well, you know what I mean (I for one found the Dornish storyline incredible boring, but to each his/her own).

But lol, now they have omitted their Dornish princess and female heir (who's also beautiful and sexually open) so I don't understand the show's ways to work...

My thoughts exactly. After the (justified imo) critique D&D got for the rapescenes this season, they won't show something as grafic as that on screen. Heck, I bet they wouldn't have done that in season 4 even. The whole stripping scene was really brutal.

They are pulling a Robb-Talysa again (though hopefully much better written). They aged up Myrcella and Trystane, so that them being in love could propel the storyline in Dorne.

Euron will be in, but history says he'll be given to the best audition, name or otherwise. If Mikklson's schedule can accommodate, he'll have a decent chance.as anyone.

If Mikkelsen has an audition, he'll just destroy the opposition. Have you seen his previous work? The man has an incredible range. Compare his roles in Jagten, Casino Royale, Valhalla Rising and Hannibal with one another. All completely realized characters, totally different from one another. And Euron is basically a cross between one-eye from Valhalla Rising (yes, indeed a one-eyed viking) and Hannibal from Hannibal, so there is no doubt that he'll bring the best possible version of Euron.

...You don't believe this, do you? I can sense the sarcasm and dread that emanated from you as you typed this.

You forgot the Pusher I and II, really cringe worthy performance as a fucking bald incompetent idiot, much harder to pull then Hannibal or Euron...

You know people phrasing on the internet can be a bitch sometimes, still can be discerned differently but I am done.

Haven't seen those yet, so I didn't include them ;)

Could maybe Lars pull off the part? He doesn't really LOOK like it, but he was disturbing as all hell on Sherlock.

For what I think they are gonna go with, no.

Mads might do, depends. He doesn't tally with the other Greyjoys though, unlike someone like Stevenson. You can see him as Theon's uncle.

It's not for everybody but it's really good story about street-level criminals. It has somewhat weird pacing (comparing to mainstream Hollywood today) and it's not really action packed but it's good and a little bit disturbing as it should be.
