I apologize for the extended wait but will be posting tomorrow. I didn't want to half ass my final post and I guess I have my pride to blame for that...

Final Results

#2 - Varys (300 points, 18/20 lists, highest: #1, lowest: #17)

Lord Vays ... the eunuch ... the Spider ... the Master of Whsiperers ... the "cockless wonder" as Tyrion so eloquently puts it. He goes by many different names and sings many different songs to many different characters. His most fascinating quality happens to be what makes him so dangerous: nobody truly knows his allegiance or understands what he's trying to accomplish. It's hard to stop a man from doing something when you don't know what he's trying to do. Not only that, but he knows everything about everybody else. He controls a system of children spies known as his "little birds" that feed him information from all over the map. Varys himself is a master of disguise and wields his influence among a court of powerful individuals in Kings Landing. He asserts on numerous occasions that he prioritizes the 'good of the realm' above all else. This may or may not be true, but based on the epilogue of ADWD, we know that he is not above the murder of an (arguably) innocent person to achieve his goal. It's probably worth noting that Varys epitomizes the rags to riches story, highlighting his ability to improve his position at all costs.

Which means that the Most Dangerous Character in ASOIAF is....

#1 - Petyr Baelish (314 points, 18/20 lists, highest: #1, lowest: #9)

In a lot of ways, Littlefinger poses a similar threat to Lord Varys: knowledge is power, after all. What separates the latter from the former involves the extent to which he's willing to use that knowledge. Varys probably would not have feigned loyalty to Eddard Sark in the first place, but Baelish had no problem doing just that and dooming Ned to Joffrey's belligerence. To Littlefinger, the only person that isn't a means to an end is... well... Littlefinger. Owning a brothel and viewing his girls as "assets" is a good way for GRRM to illustrate this point. Some would argue that even his relationship with Catelyn was an infatuation driven by her status. Through mind games and manipulation, Littlefinger climbs closer and closer to the Iron Throne every passing moment. Elevating himself from a no-named house to the simultaneous Lord of Harrenhal and the Vale is an incredible feat. With the key to the North at his fingertips, it's really only a matter of time before he makes his next move.
