The Snark of Winterfell
I straight up stole this from Reddit post.So in a promo video for GoT for in IMAX, David Benioff is wearing a shirt that says R+L= a picture of a jockeyHere is the videohttp://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid3303744355001?bckey=AQ~~,AAAAAA0Xi_s~,r1xMuE8k5Nz1HmLGrVlkxGTUBUM_JtH-&bctid=4017555424001And here is a screen cap http://i.imgur.com/cNpgK8m.jpgI don't know if he's poking at fans or confirming, but the shirt is obviously intentionalI figure 99% pretty much had this confirmed anyways and doubt that this going to change the 1% minds. Nic.
Clearly a means to draw attention from the hardcore book readers. Thanks for pointing it out though.

Panos Targaryen
Isn't it a Ralph Lauren t-shirt? In which case, R=Ralph + L=Lauren.

WeaselPie
Ralph and Lauren = Polo Player? I think it's a joke and a nod to fans. Polo Players are not "jockeys" anyway.
sj4iy
This does not actually confirm the theory. No. But it's a pretty funny take on it.
Lord Lannister
I don't know if he's poking at fans or confirming, but the shirt is obviously intentional Of course he's poking fun at the hardcore fans. I would too in his position. :P

perplexed_mind
Isn't it a Ralph Lauren t-shirt? In which case, R=Ralph + L=Lauren. Exactly. in fact looking at it this way, it could be interpreted that he is confirming that it is FALSE. "R+L=ralph lauren, not Jon you morons". That type of deal-y

JonCon's Red Beard
That shirt is not a Ralph Lauren (which btw, says RL not R+L). That one polo man is nothing like the RL Logo (this). It's an embroidery made after a clipart (found here), look. The little guy is missing his head, it's more likely someone simply saw the R+L over. Also, doesn't look fake. "The R+L=" moves when one of the Ds does. Yes, I'm a nerd. And yes, I know my fashion!
Lord Reaper oOo
As much as I believe in R+L=J, a small part of me hopes it's not true so the whole fandom implodes.

Lady WentThere
Can't quite remember where I saw it but I once read how some people noticed in a scene from Game of thrones I think it's the one where John kills Othor, on a wooden post behind john "R+L" is carved into it with john stood right next to it. could be faked but I'm determined to re-watch and see if I can spot it. Yes because Martin would devalue his magnum opus for a cheap "gotcha" directed at some online forums
