I do pop in on the thread to see how a season is going due to the anthology approach. I heard they were altering the format a bit for the new season? I find it troubling that they are replacing Jessica Lange with Lady Gaga. If Lange wanted out, that's perfectly understandable, but the need to bring in Gaga as a replacement? Sarah Paulson always delivers great work since she started on Asylum. Let her and Evan Peters take the lead. Or Angela Basset. Or Kathy Bates To bring in someone like Gaga (not, strictly speaking, an actress, just someone with a lot of pop culture cred) seems like the show is going for the cheap thrill instead of a well rounded story. I just had a hard time with it, mad scientist, aliens, angles and demons; I rank it as my least favorite! I loved Murder House and liked both Freak Show and Coven. Both had had their moments. One major issue I had with Freak Show, similar to Asylum there were holes that just didn't make sense. Didn't Jessica Lange state from the beginning of the series she was only in it for 4 seasons? While I absolutely love her, her characters throughout have pretty much been the same. Ditto for Sarah Paulson. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

After Season 2 I went around recommending this show to a lot of folks, saying how great it was, blah, blah.
