In fact, I always thought she could die because she lost her wolf protector. And everyone else involved in the event is dead or will be (only Cersei left now). I fear Sansa takes the methods of LF and finish as dead as he. But I hope she will become a counselor of Jon, skilled in diplomacy, when he will be king (if I'm not wrong there). And I don't think Jon will die heroically at the end, because the kingdom will need a good ruler to rebuild and provide a long enough period of peace afterward. Sansa as collateral damage from a failed gambit of Littlefinger, and Arya from sacrificing herself in some way to fulfill her thirst for vengeance. She's too far gone for "redemption"? (Don't even get me started on that one). What would her death do, then? What's the point? GRRM wouldn't just kill her for shock value, so why would he at all?
