aryagonnakill#2
Well hot springs generally imply some sort of volcanic activity, so that means Winterfell. I always pictured it like Yellowstone.

Rhaenys_Targaryen
Wait Dragonstone is volcanic? The Dragonmont, which is what makes Dragonstone a place of smoke.

Ser Leftwich
Recently, yes. May I be excused for forgetting about something in such a rich universe? Please sir? It was not sarcasm. Should have framed it better/more polite as 'have you only watched the show' and/or 'have you read all the works in the ASoIaF universe.' It does come up a lot. Caesar Targaryen
So technically there are 8 regions in Westeros (9 if you count the Crownlands), but why are they only referred to as the Seven Kingdoms, and which region is left out/not part of the kingdoms? Mychel_Redfort
Harren the Black from the Iron Islands had conquered the Riverlands by the time of Aegon's Conquest, so he was the King of the Isles and the Rivers then.

So the Iron Islands and Riverlands were considered one kingdom then. If that's it then I get it.
Mychel_Redfort
Yes. So there were seven kingdoms when Aegon united them for the first time in history (if you forget that Dorne was taken later)
HexMachina
Ooooh, ok. I wonder why he didn't just italicize it then. Probably because of what he types on, I think. I'm assuming it marks out editing points for the editors/publishers or something like that
A True Kaniggit
How many copies of each book is too many? Been cleaning all day and while organizing my bookshelf I realized I have 1 copy of A Game of Thrones, 2 each of A Storm of Swords - A Dance with Dragons, and 3 copies of A Clash of Kings. I have no idea how this came about.

Daemon Blackfyre IV
Question guys Do we know for sure that Jeyne Westerling's mother Sybel actually had a deal with Tywin ? Or could she be playing double agent knowing Tywin died ?

Or could she be playing double agent knowing Tywin died ? The app revealed quite a lot of backstory for how Sybel fit into the whole thing. She really was working with Tywin. Bollen46
Is it anyone out there who knows if the Ironborn comes from the andals or the first men?
aryagonnakill#2
^ They definitely don't come from the Andals, but we don't know for sure if they are first men either. Some people think they were first men taken by the squishers/ deep ones as thralls, but we are presented with other possibilities as well.
