boojam
So that's gonna be Sweetrobin trying to learn to fight in the pic of Sansa, Littlefinger, and Yohn Royce! Personally I was hoping it was the melee that Royce holds at Runestone where he knights Harrold Hardyng. I would have figured SweetRobin would have starved to death by now. Poète Lauréat
I doubt that Stanis will ever admit to killing his own brother with blood magic. Even if the kinslaying taboo has a loophole to for older brothers whose younger siblings try to steal their birthright, Stanis' rigid sense of justice barely allows him to acknowledge the murder to himself (in the book, it's not even confirmed that he is aware of what his shadow did). Also, admitting kinslaying to a likely enemy who shares his rigid sense of justice just doesn't seem like a smart risk, and Stanis can be quite pragmatic about picking his risks in pursuit of the throne. It is one thing for his enemies to speculate that he killed Renly with magic that most people don't believe in; but if anyone overhears him confirming the fantastic story--or if Brienne tells anyone that he confirmed it--he risks losing at least a few potential supporters. It would be interesting to see Brienne question Stanis, though. I'm sure he hates lying, and a man with his iron sense of justice would struggle both with the memory of the murder and with covering it up all over again. Brienne would experience quite a bit of internal conflict as well if she pledges herself to Sansa and now has to choose between her vow to avenge Renly and her vow to protect Sansa, since Stanis is one of the Stark kids' last best hopes for safety. Brienne might well end up helping Stannis. The most interesting course for the narrative to take would be for both characters struggle with their moral conflict: Stanis with having to lie about Renly, and Brienne with having to side with him, knowing that he is lying. At least in the books, I expect the characters to be pushed to limits of their moral outlooks, where they either diminish or grow. Of course, in the show, they might just bash each other over the head with a rock until one falls off a cliff. Not that I want Stanis to suffer Sandor's fate. Well he has admitted it out loud. Even if it was to Mel, he has admitted it. I don't really agree with any of what your saying. I see Brienne being fully devoted in avenging Catelyns death, if she joins and finds a Stark in safety. I've predicted that all the Starks will meet back in Winterfell and on the show its shaping up that way. With Stannis looking very likely to take Winterfell in the books, I can see the North coming together under Rickon. Its speculation, but if it does happen, I see it playing out more to a ''Jaime situation''. She hates him at first and overtime grows to like him. and who the bloody hell is Stanis? UtherSnow
I would have figured SweetRobin would have starved to death by now. Why starve the boy when he's ideal as a pawn? Most unlikely story to happen this season? After LF does the rounds with Robin and Alayne, the idea of fostering Robin crops up. Who with? What would move things for LF? How does fostering Robin in the heart of darkness sound? Where better than with Roose Bolton, at Winterfell? As we've seen Robin kick out at Sansa's snow-castle of Winterfell, is it too much to expect the boy to throw a tantrum? How about Robin lashes out at.... Ramsey.... How would Ramsey react? That ought to be easy to read! Back-handers from all directions, knocking the boy senseless. - Robin's not the strongest kid on the block anyway..... Light at the end of a tunnel moment, perhaps? Theon (not Reek) will step in. He's reminded of farmers' boys. Ramsey will go absolutely super-bonkers psycho-muthah on Theon. Roose has to step in and have Ramsey dragged off. Theon instantly changes to Reek, complete with stoop? What is Dead may never die. He'll look closer to death. Totally battered and broken...... What's this 'super-traumatic' scene Sophie's hinted at? If she's had chance to build a connection with Robin, which has to be highly likely trekking around Universe-Vale..... Hasn't this been alluded to? Something I think LF will do is to take some bones for burial at Winterfell. How can Roose deny this? Why LF goes to Winterfell? To bury bones? Superficial but, shows his adoration of Catelyn. The real reason is he'll make Roose smile by aligning The Vale to Winterfell. Into this is the deal with Robin - which also breaks the boy away from Yohn Royce & Co. Royce won't set out to face Roose, as he knows he'll lose. There will be some deal reached to wed a significant Bolton figure to Robin, when he's older. In the meantime, why not let the boy meet and play with his future bride. What need is there to wed Alayne to Ramsey? She's an unknown figure, and a bastard. Ramsey can't marry a bastard. That's something both Roose and Ramsey would agree upon. That is too messy when you consider LF's greater plan. Plus, if anything befalls Robin while he's under Roose's wing.... House Bolton is blamed not LF. If Sansa was to be the intended bride.... whatever befalls Alayne is of little consequence. Unless LF reveals who she is, which is not part of LF's plan. Be real about it. LF wants Sansa now. Remember.... Chaos is a ladder. Who is the Lord of Chaos? He's not Varys, Lord of Mayhem and Whispers.
