Augh! This just makes me want to scream:

Quote

The word “redemption” is thrown out a lot and I don’t know if it’s as simple as a redemption story when describing Jaime.

From that link Le Cygne posted upthread. They really do not get any of these characters. SIMPLE? There is nothing simple about Jaime's story in GRRM's books. THEY're the ones who made him a simpleton, Cogman &D & D. .

His line, “It’s the Lord Commander’s duty to fill these pages. There’s still room left in mine,” is a key phrase for Jaime going forward.

Hardy har har. Like what, after that, he's Cersei's thrall. He's the thrall of a very dishonorable person. Wallowing in being her thrall. It's sickening, I love NCW, but I can't bear to watch him anymore. Grovelling to her. He has no life of his own. Like... Sansa groveling to LF, she's his thrall, too. She has no life of her own. They cut it. What is wrong with them? These characters resisted these horrible people trying to destroy them in the books.

I'd rather see something not so beautifully done than nothing at all.

Cut to shots of real wolves and then cut back to the character, yeah, it's obvious something's up there, if you look closely, but the actors can compensate for that.

Like it was obvious the hobbits in LOTR were really not that much smaller, but I lived with it.

Also was just thinking, it would have been good for Tommen to have been petting Ser Pounce when he started to become disillusioned about Margaery. If indeed he has, who knows what's going on in this show.

These are little touches that say a lot. And they make the characters seem real.

Kitty scene in Bell, Book, and Candle (by the way, he was 50, she was 25, and it was a good romance, it's the magic of acting, and storytelling, and all that...)

Agree. And I love that film! :)

I'm gradually replacing the actors' image with the book description when I read (yeah I used to see the actors, mostly). They are good actors, but the show just ruined it for me.

Maybe Jon really is dead. I mean, why would Maisie and Kit insist for this long, not to mention HBO execs and D&D? This is really the kind of thing D&D would do: assert their independence from the books and cause shockwaves, that's what they want, no? Could they really resist going there?

We all saw that infamous picture of him.

Keep in mind. Millions of fans or simply vast majority of them are not every day or so on internet...searching for clues, spoilers., reading books and so   They don't know about any of this...unlike us.

Look how cute those wolf puppies are.

Quote

Ghost raced ahead at first scent of them. Jon squatted to let the direwolf close his jaws around his wrist, tugging his hand back and forth. It was a game they played (Jon, ACOK)

Do we have those moments in GoT? No! And that is one of the many quotes which can be found in the books on the Stark kids and their adorable wolves. (And it would actually have more effect to see this on screen than just in the books. Because now we can think, oh look, they are adorable. But they are actually doing this with very big and dangerous animals!)

Quote function is wonky for me again...

But if you're talking about the show, I think it's more,

"We are the watchers of this steaming pile."

That picture gives me hope and the fact that Jon is one of the Big 3. But D&D's penchant desire to shock worries me.

Its almost as if the people in charge only read a cliff notes version of the series missing all the important stuff

Yeah, I was smoking the good stuff thinking they would actually take the time to remember what they did 2 seasons ago, but in my defense, they do like to do matchy matchy with the visuals. This is one I like that I put in my signature, but this was clearly done the same way intentionally.

So suddenly there's Sandor petting his horse in season 4, I mean, they are having a moment there. And then Bronn is petting a black horse in season 5, calling it a beast, and doing Hound things, like digging graves. That scene had no point. Yes, Porne in its entirely had no point, but that stood out, they took time out from boobs and bad pussy for that. And in season 2, Bronn talked about the Hound putting people in graves, and that was a scene they added to GRRM's script.

So yes, they are really bad at telling stories, but they are doing some of these things.

Suddenly Sandor?  LOLOL  I'd watch that.

They like to do that, but even D&D wouldn't go that far with this. His story would just feel empty. George said he'll eventually find out about hismother. Besides he has to meet Dany at some point, Ice nad Fire all that stuff. Then all the evidence we have from the set and stuff.

Lady grew uip to be a fine- looking dog.

But on the show, hell, does Sansa ever think about Lady? Does she think about Sandor? Does she think about ANYTHING?

IFU#7 is dumb as a bag of hammers. It was a requirement for the stoopid Winterhell plot to work - and I couldn't use the word 'work' more loosely.

What's next for IFU#7, no doubt one day her circuits will overload. Basic pleasure model, fembot, something like that. They'll get more use out of her and then, poof!

There is a Suddenly Sandor on twitter, he and Lady Sansa were flirting back and forth, and it was really funny, until the show got to them. They haven't been back since last season.
