Baby Sam was born on the wrong the side of the Wall, that's why he'll never grow out of the infant stage.  If he'd been born in KL or Porne, he'd be at least 10 years old by now.

Perfect explanation! Ygritte would have never aged if Olly hadn't killed her.

Yeah, the actors are quite aware, they don't always say what they know. Just think of the logistics of filming this scene alone. So I hold the doll just so? And I walk out the door just so? And their cast mates are saying he loves her and singing Beauty and the Beast on the commentary... I think the Jaime and Brienne actors are aware, too.

is it available on youtube or is there  a link??I'd like to listen to it:rolleyes:

I just listened to it (the GRRM commentary was separate):

Quote

(Sandor on screen.)

Peter Dinklage: I like that relationship between the Hound and Sansa.

Lena Headey: Yeah...

(Sandor reacting to the wildfire.)

GRRM: Of course here we see the Hound's ultimate nightmare here... This shot is of course the reason they don't have the actors wear their helmets, because if the Hound was wearing his helmet you couldn't get all of that fear...

(Sansa and Sandor on screen.)

SANSA (to THE HOUND): What are you doing here?

Lena Headey (to SANSA): He loves you!...

THE HOUND (to SANSA): I could take you with me. Take you to Winterfell. I'll keep you safe.

GRRM: There was a line in the script that was cut unfortunately where Sansa says to him well, how are you going to get out of the city, there are guards at all the gates. And he draws his sword and says, I'm going to get out with this and no man is going to stop me, and then he sort of hesitates and says, unless he's on fire. I was sorry to lose that line, I really liked that little moment which emphasized the whole fire thing here...

Neil Marshall (director): We re-shot this scene because the first version we did also had a song in it... He made Sansa sing, but it was the song that she had just finished singing, so coming off the back of the scene it would have...

Peter Dinklage (singing the song from the Disney movie): Really? Beauty and the Beast ...

SANSA (to THE HOUND): You won't hurt me (?)

Neil Marshall (answering for THE HOUND): Naaaah...

GRRM: In the books he demands a song of her and she sings that hymn about the Mother again.

There's also commentary from Benioff and Weiss. I think Weiss likes SanSan more, he always starts it. This was from a scene in season 1:

Quote

D.B. Weiss: The developing relationship between these two.
David Benioff: Yep. Much more to come.

and another scene in season 2, the one with this look:

Quote

Weiss:  It's a good thing that Rory is as tall as he is… Sophie must have grown a foot in the first year of the show…  Luckily she's playing against Rory who's also...
Benioff:  Yeah, he's genuinely massive.

Oh, there was another bit, when GRRM commented on the scene in the hallway that he wrote in season 1, it's like he just wanted to say their names together!

Quote

GRRM: That beautiful scene between the Hound, Sandor Clegane, and Sansa.

The first thing I used to do when I got the DVDs was listen to the commentary. Season 5 was the first time I didn't even buy the DVDs.

Weiss is also the one who said he hopes we love the Hound after he was dead.

The show wiki makes things up left and right. They make up things they don't understand in the plots, too. If there's something vague, instead of just leaving it at that, they make up a story to fill in.

I just pity those contributors. They are just trying to make sense of everything (which is actually impossible and it is wrong to add a story) but still.

(20:06) Is that Grey Wind? How long has it been since we saw Robb had a direwolf? We certainly never heard about Robb’s own nascent warg powers helping him find goat tracks past Ashemark.

Surprise! I still exist :bang: (Maybe I must be happy it is almost impossible not to show my favorite direwolf next to his human? It is not like you can actually ignore Summer, right? However I probably cannot have that expectation of them.

(31:44) I don’t especially like how the Reeds are introduced in a somewhat menacing manner, Meera as a physical threat and Jojen more metaphysical. The shot at the timestamp I’ve got especially. Backlit Jojen staring down at Bran having deterred Summer through means inexplicable, while in the background Meera holds a knife to Osha’s throat? Great way to introduce staunch friends and allies!

Harvest feast was so awesome. And what they did was completely the opposite in the books. Both of them come inside, they swear an oath of loyalty to Bran and Jojen asks after the direwolves!!! They are some of the few ones that are not afraid of the wolves. There are introduced a little mysterious but very friendly.

Quote

(48:11) Needed exposition about Howland Reed and his friendship with Ned, but without the implication that Howland and Ned have been sharing different sets of facts with their children. The story about the Knight of the Laughing Tree, for instance.

Sigh

I just saw the clip. Main thing playing in my mind is: if they wanted Jon's body, why didn't they just take it when they killed him? And why didn't they do something about Ghost? I suppose the episode itself might offer some answers. Maybe.

That's exactly what I said when I saw the trailer. They stab Jon to death and leave him out in the courtyard, the blood spreading around his head. Cut. Next shot (s 6) he's still there where they left him. And when whoever takes the body inside, whenever, the coin drops and now they must get the body. Plot holes in the trailer already, but I'm sure there will be plenty of explanations offered, mostly if not exclusively by viewers.

Unless they're afraid Melisandre might resurrect him (but how would Thorne etc know that?) there's no real reason I can see for them to do a 180 turn. The book avoids this by having it happen amidst a crowd. In the show, as per season five, they seemed to be murdering him in secrecy to leave a threatening message. Except now they want his body back. One strange reasoning I've already seen is that they want to burn him to stop him transforming into a wight - which makes very little sense, there's no Others around...

I don't pity them, they are making up stuff, if they like a character or don't like a character, that influences how they fill in the blanks. It's bad enough that the show messes things up, what they do adds another layer of messed up, and people cite the wiki like it really happened on the show. If something is left vague on the show, just leave it vague.

Similar to that turtle person with the recaps you posted, who clearly doesn't like Sandor, and makes bad stuff up or leaves good stuff out accordingly, that's a skewed representation of the story. Only difference is, that's her/his tumblr, I read that and think, she/he is not being objective, and don't bother reading again. The show wiki, people assume there's objectivity.

Whichever way you look at it, it doesn't make sense. If Jon told Thorne & co about the WW, they shouldn't have killed him, and shouldn't have had a problem with the free folk coming through. If Jon didn't tell anyone about the zombie threat, they shouldn't be worried about them. We don't know yet why the conspirators decide to first leave his body outside, and then later decide they have to have it back. Maybe the explanation for them trying to break through the door is not Jon but Ghost. They got rid of Jon, and now want to get rid of Ghost. Still, it doesn't make sense, because Ghost has been completely ignored for gods know how long, and the same goes for his bond with Jon. I mean, in s 4 they had Summer locked in a flimsy wooden cage, which was very stupid and a warning sign of more silly things to come in regards to the direwolves. One of the problems with the show is how inconsistent these things are. When Robb has that convo with Jaime back in s 2 (?), when Jaime is a prisoner, Grey Wind looked much more impressive size wise than Ghost does now. I'm fully expecting for things not to be explained at all. It's what they do, they'll dangle shiny things in front of everyone's eyes, and leave all the explaining and reasoning to be done by fans. It's what they've been doing for a while now, and it works like a charm.

Well if Gilly's baby can never age, surely the dire Wolves can randomly grow and shrink?

Well, yes, exactly. Ages, distances, and any number of pesky details can be changed as many times as necessary to fit in with whatever the "plot" demands.

The problem with the show wiki is they add another layer to that, and make up the ages. The Tommen actor himself contradicts the age they cite, so they might want to just say "unknown" instead of making assumptions. Likewise, if X happens, then Y happens, and you don't know what happened in between, don't make up Z to account for that. Just state X happened, then Y happened.

Except for the dragons. They get consistently bigger and spikier every season. :D

True. But they like the dragons, after all, they're part of the show's holy trinity, Shock, Tits, Dragons.
