Am i the only one who is losing interest in the show? I mean it started alright nothing really too dark or anything that unusual i'm used to more darker shows and for an american TV it was good.  Now so many seasons later i just think it lived it's life.  It seems staled somehow like it offers nothing really new...

ps: Writing am i the only in a rant topic.

ps2:  Still gonna pirate it :D

Of course you're not. Even if you're a show fanboy and wannabe D&D intern puppy dog, and tolerate all the nonsensical aspects of the story, I don't know how you can keep such level of investment. The show offers nothing new, indeed.

Rest assured a lot of viewers feel that way, they're just not vocal about it, particularly "Unsullied" ones. They'll just move on and entertain themselves with something else.

It is because they don't do anything throughout the entire season except boring and repetitive build up towards episodes 8,9,10. Those episodes are usually so cramped with  "epic" shit and climaxes that it feels boring.

Would be better to put again a major event right at the beginning (Purple Wedding) instead of having 8 filler episodes in a row.

And they should have had the Ironborn last season and completely put the white walkers on hold and just focus on Stannis and Jon's northern campaigns.

I am still pissed about Hardhome and the fact they just completely ignored Stannis' battle at Winterfell. I am not a Stannis' fan or I do not like him as a person (because he is still Stannis so that is sort of normal).

But I can see why Stannis' fans are angry at D&D for what they did to his story because they really turned it into a piece of crap. They said it was all about ambition? while Stannis do not want to be king because he wants power, ... but because he feels it is his duty. When he goes to the North, he wants to save the realm. He is able to compromise. He is not fanatic. He is a very good general while in the show they actually completely ignore that aspect of the character and Ramsay with 20 men has completely no difficulty in harming him :bang: (and it is Ramsay who is able to do this). In the books the third leech is actually kind of important. He wants to protect his daughter who is the heir. HE is the one who is able to rally the Northern Lords (or they at least using him for that).

And in the show all those cool things are completely ruined and some of them might be given to the Pimp who was Promised :bang:. And they did not give him the possibility to show his strategic skills. The only real images we have of the battle except for ThugBrienne killing Stannis is the one where we see Ramsay fighting :ack:

I still do not understand what is the reason of Hardhome except for having a BIG BATTLE? Except to show a lot of wildlings and NW forgot fire is kind of usefull in fighting the wights.

Hardhome and Crasters are both boring and overrated and made big plot holes. (We needa go to prevent survivors from telling Mance about us -> actually just kills some dudes and lets the wildlings who have no love for the NW go...to Mance) (Hardhome made no sense left and right and revealing the sword properties was anticlimactic and done in a forgettable way and stupid that Aliser would kill Jon after this)

The greatest thing the show ever did was convincing me that Stannis is a great man and so are his whole lot. I really hated the guy and all those around him, but starting with Season 4 and his treatment, I really appreciate Stannis now.

Just want to point out that Balon Greyjoy yet lives.

The winner of the War of Five Kings, by default.

I want to further point out that in show the WoFK started years previously.

ALL HAIL KING BALON!

Those things also completely destroyed Jon's storyline who was reduced to one character attribute: fighter.

And apparently 11 years has passed in the show, because according to the wiki, Tommen is 19 in season 6, whereas he was 8 in season 1. Gilly's baby is Jack Harkness reborn.

Either that or it's just like a soap opera. A character conveniently gets older when a new actor starts playing them. The Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome.

It is funny that they aged him up just for one sex scene. Because having a minor have consensual sex with a young adult is just too much.

I mean they locked Marge away anyway and Tommen likely dies, or Marge, before any sex could happen again.

I am sure they aged up Myrcella and Trystane just so the Trystane character is old enough to be considered a consort for Daenerys in a future "plot"

Baby Sam has travelled offscreen at some percentage of light speed, that would explain him not aeging,

but Tommen can't be 19, no way

Baby Sam was born on the wrong the side of the Wall, that's why he'll never grow out of the infant stage.  If he'd been born in KL or Porne, he'd be at least 10 years old by now.

So I've been doing some reading on the wiki, and it says that although Loras states that Tommen is eight in season one, and four years has passed by season five (so he should be 12), his age was retconned so that he is 18 by season five, so that means he was 14 in season one. And the show says Joffrey was 19 when he died, making Tommen 17 in season four.

I really hope show!Brienne dies this season, that rampaging hulk is too dangerous to be left alive.

I really hope that the "avalanche" of Others kills all of Westeros and win the IT, and GOT ends for good ;)

Yeah, it will be a thing of [beastly] beauty!

Yeah, the actors are quite aware, they don't always say what they know. Just think of the logistics of filming this scene alone. So I hold the doll just so? And I walk out the door just so? And their cast mates are saying he loves her and singing Beauty and the Beast on the commentary... I think the Jaime and Brienne actors are aware, too.

(In other words, people don't always say what they mean, as we know...)
