That said I have made the argument in the past that the American Revolution is better described as the first American Civil War given the fact that many of the “British” troops who fought against American “Patriot” forces were actually American loyalists. It was almost purely a fight for American independence, not a “Revolution” seeking to promote particular ideals. That she got death threats is no big surprise. A vegan who announced she had decided to eat some meat again got death threats. People who think you should be vaccinated get death threats.
