Pretty sure I was too preoccupied thinking about how Jennifer Connelly was way too hot to be playing a mathematician's wife.

No worries. I was probably looking at porn the first time I encountered it.

OK that sounds like a roll back from your original position.  Is he really clearly worse than Buchanan (let's just punt this whole emancipation thing) or Wilson (Birth of a Nation in the White House)?  We all have different priorities...

As far as I can tell he is purely self interested.  He’s the last person who should ever be in an office dedicated to public service.

Given the evolution into “La Terreur” is the French Revolution really where you want to brag?

After all these years, you still think I'd be foolish enough to "brag" about such a thing? Jeez Scot, I'm almost hurt.

The French Revolution, not unlike the Russian Revolution, had far greater aspirations than the American Revolution. Both French and Russian Revolutions were quickly betrayed and failed dismally. History was then rewritten to hide what could have been, so that the masses wouldn't get any funny ideas, and now it often takes a bit of research to have even a vague idea of what these aspirations were.
By contrast, I think it'd be fair to say the American Revolution succeeded. Or it accomplished its main goals at least, which is undeniably something. Was egalitarianism really one of these goals though? That's actually a rather complicated question methinks. I'm sure everyone here knows enough to realize why one should be quite cautious about their answer.

I would say egalitarianism was not a goal of the American Revolution.  That said I have made the argument in the past that the American Revolution is better described as the first American Civil War given the fact that many of the “British” troops who fought against American “Patriot” forces were actually American loyalists.

It was almost purely a fight for American independence, not a “Revolution” seeking to promote particular ideals.  Therefore, it is really unfair for me to compare the two events, they were very different in character.

Trump has reduced (I wanted to say significantly, but lets be honest here Leviathan has inertia on its side) regulation.  More freedom.  Compared to It Takes a Village HRC, he was clearly the govern from the bottom up, respect individual rights, candidate last time in the final election.

This is like saying that Trump was clearly the more honest, less corrupt candidate. Heck, it's like saying he was clearly the only candidate who was a twenty foot tall Latina woman with four arms.

Trump's respect for individual rights begins and ends with the individual right of Donald Trump to do whatever the fuck he wants without being questioned or held to account. He has no concern for your individual rights. None at all. If ever your rights become inconvenient for Trump, expect to lose them right away.

I kind of feel like if the left is going to abandon liberal as a title, I should reclaim it.  Fits me better anyway.

It fits you not at all. But I guess 'gullible' isn't really a political philosophy.

I know.  But as for Charlie Brown while Lucy holds the football, hope springs eternally.

Take it from someone who lives where the story took place, you always miss the important field goals. At least in these parts.

But the sun will come out again tomorrow.

Plus the governor of Iowa.

"We'd rather die than actually help people."

Graham's statement is actually rather ambiguous.  The US has no shortage of dead bodies.  Is he saying he'll pass it?

According to Katie Halper the Biden Bros have now leaked Tara Reade's Social Security number.  She reportedly also cancelled going on Chris Wallace's show because of death threats to her and her daughter.

Why would anyone leak her Social Security Number? How would they get it?

That she got death threats is no big surprise. A vegan who announced she had decided to eat some meat again got death threats. People who think you should be vaccinated get death threats. Government officials who contradict Trump get death threats. It's as American as apple pie.

Yeah, perhaps he means that the Senate will bravely face the risk of the virus to pass benefits.

And was the Biden campaign linked to this?
