Mr. Chatywin et al.
Idk, Liverpool is defending pretty well while still being able to attack. They're not completely out of it.
Soylent Brown
Mac Allister is great off the ball, but pretty hopeless on it. Truly, we have finally replaced Wijnaldum. AncalagonTheBlack
Rorshach
Liverpool can still take something from this match. Newcastle need to keep the pressure on. Klopp is a way better manager than I could ever become, but I would have kept Diaz on. He's the most likely player (I think) to produce something on his own. ljkeane
Well that was pretty annoying. Newcastle were a bit better in midfield but they hadn’t really created any chances of note until Alexander-Arnold let one run under his foot and then Van Dijk gets himself sent off. Great. No idea what Klopp was thinking there.

Soylent Brown
Salah is fucking shite. We should just sell him and play Doak. He won't be any worse.

Soylent Brown
Terrible luck for the defender, but great finish from Nunez.

He has big moments still, but it feels like he disappears in games.
Mexal
Fantastic finish. He drilled that perfectly.
Rorshach
Right now this counts as a win for Liverpool and a loss for Newcastle. Too early to say something will be season-defining, but it's an important early point in the season.

He still gets pretty solid numbers, but if you look at his highlight reel from his first couple of years at Liverpool, he's not half the player he was. That's basically been my impression. When I got into the game he was absolutely amazing, but it's felt like he's not been that for a season or two. He can still score, however he's not as dynamic. And as I type that he makes an amazing assist. Edited August 27, 2023 by Tywin et al.
Rorshach
Now, that is a win for Liverpool. And, given the match they got, a terrible capitulation from Newcastle. Managed that game all wrong after the red card.
