ljkeane
Good first half from United, they’ve been the better side to be fair, but it’s gone a bit wrong for them in the last few minutes. Edited March 17 by ljkeane

Consigliere
That was probably the best game we've played for a long while. But we still made hard work of it. Should've had Liverpool finished off in normal time. Edited March 17 by Consigliere

Salah is coming off a fairly serious hamstring injury so he definitely doesn’t have 120 minutes in him and he wasn’t playing well anyway. 2 minutes ago, Consigliere said: But we still made hard work of it. Liverpool giving away a couple of loose goals in extra time was irritating but the real problem was not taking their multiple chances in all the space United were giving them in the second half. Darryk
Liverpool were playing champagne football in the 2nd half; Man U didnt get anywhere near them. Goal came out of nowhere and suddenly Liverpool looked exhausted and Man U went into another gear. Weird game.
Consigliere
United created enough in normal time to have won the game. The eye test is backed up by the stats too - United had an xg of 3.1 vs Liverpool's 1.9 after normal time. Xg of 4.2 vs 2.1 after extra time. Opta don’t have it that wide for normal time and a big chunk of that is Rashford’s offside chance that would’ve been ruled out if he’d scored. Liverpool were mostly fucking up the final pass to not take their chances. Extra time, yeah, give the ball away like Liverpool did it’s going to cost you. Iskaral Pust
Liverpool looked tired from the start. We have a pattern of poor first half performances this season but United had so much more energy and speed to press well and then swarm forward. We eventually asserted our better pattern of play and control on the game, but late on tired minds and legs eventually conceded stupid turnovers and soft goals. Too many games for too few players lately.

What was the need for Klopp to play Salah 90 minutes against the mighty Sparta Praha? Then he gets taken off against United in the FA Cup quarters around 75 minutes? Nah, this is on Klopp.

He basically just walked around for the last 30 minutes of that game.
