Sandy Clegg
What's a classic thread (not one of your own) that you think people should check out, and why? I thought this might be a nice idea, seeing as this forum has such a huge back catalogue and many old posters are no longer active. So, I found this old thread, begun by @Kingmonkey, that begins by imagining how the Dunk & Egg stories tie in thematically to the main series: It basically shows how the Tower of Joy echoes throughout the story in versions great and small. Great thread all round, with lots to chew on. Edited March 26 by Sandy Clegg House Cambodia
House Cambodia
Terrific idea. I've recently returned after a full re-read of the corpus, so I've missed a few years of threads. Hope this catches on - it's timely for me.
LongRider
One of my favorites was which expanded into, oh, six or seven threads. Interesting and fun, and were started 10 years ago. Loved those threads. Sandy Clegg and Wizz-The-Smith
Hippocras
There have been lots of good ones, but sadly I don't have a great memory for details related to finding them. Ser Arthurs Dawn
SeanF
I think this was a good series, which I participated in. Sandy Clegg

A lot is made at the end of Dany choosing to be Dragon, rather than Mhysa, but to me, it’s a case of both/and, rather than either/or. A good leader has to be both Mhysa and Dragon, on occasion. Striving too hard for peace in Meereen, nearly led to disaster. States don’t launch armadas, and bring thousands of soldiers onto your soil, because they want peace. People rarely lay down the whip, unless they are compelled to. And a “peace” that can only be secured by allowing people to be eaten by lions for the amusement of sadists, is a peace that is not worth having. Club-foot cleft-lips
I read this one a long while before I joined. I probably don't have the perspective to know whats classic, but I though it was good. Sandy Clegg
Sandy Clegg
I had a few chuckles at this one. 2012 was a different time, it seems .... LongRider
Sandy Clegg
Just came across @Lady Dacey's interesting thread about parallels in Arya's chapters from AGOT / AFFC-ADWD. Worth a read for the quality of the replies as much as the OP. Club-foot cleft-lips
Jaenara Belarys Posted yesterday at 04:42 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:42 AM I remember around when I first joined I was arguing with some guy about the Others, and getting rid of the others (or something like it). It was a back and forth between me and some guy with a star in his pfp IIRC. Nice engaging argument. I kind of liked my own Unsullied thread, but that's more because it was mine. Plus all the GRRM writing threads I made, but those got taken down. That was fun to read, and also hilarious because I was always praying it would get past twenty pages.
