Zoravar Singh
I would like to enquire whether 'dog' qualifies as an abuse in the same way as 'bitch' already does. I found no clarity on this particular point in the rules. Also, is it an offense to call a character something abusive, as it is to call a forum member that? Inigima
I wanted to clarify the following: Is dog considered an abuse in the same way as bitch in the forum? ie is using the word dog liable to get you points? Bitch is. Maybe I've posted in the wrong paert of the forum. Please tell me where to post and I'll correct the same. I... uh... You should maybe reevaluate your entire approach to posting. Masonity
I'd be willing to bet that context matters far more than exact word choice. For instance I'm sure I'd stay point free for saying I have a half-Labrador bitch that I like to take on walks. While if I someone's mother dog faced I might well find a warning heading my way. The Mance
I'm guessing starting a thread to fish for semantic loopholes so you can call someone a bitch ought to be good for a few points.
Zoravar Singh
I'm guessing starting a thread to fish for semantic loopholes so you can call someone a bitch ought to be good for a few points. I know that calling someone a bitch isn't allowed, I just want to know whether the same is 'extended' to dog or not. I did try to PM a moderator, but the moderator was unable to recieve messages. If there are any moderators you know with working PMs, I would gladly ask them the same. Also, it would be rather sad if anyone has to resort to giving me points for asking a question. There was no clarity on this point in the rules, and I don't see anything wrong in seeking out an answer and everyone should know whether 'dog' and 'bitch' are equally abusive or not. I don't think he's looking for loopholes so much as playing the 'woe is me, poor wounded male being discriminated against' card.

I have neither been called a 'bitch' nor a 'dog, is it wrong if I seek clarity on an issue that is not explicitly stated in the rules?

jarl the climber
Well if I came home from work and caught my girlfriend in bed with my best friend the bitch word might come into my mind, she might have some choice words for me if the situation was reversed. That's sort of understandable in that sort of situation but on an internet chat site that puts some value on intellect maybe you need to step up it up a level or two if your really looking for respect. polishgenius
why would you even wanna call someone a bitch or a dog To be fair, I can think of loads of reasons why I might want to call someone names. It's TC's pretending to not realise why 'bitch' and 'dog' are totally not on the same level that grates a little.
