He's hitting on all the buzz words and phrases, sound bites, if you will, that will play well with the masses. (No, you haven't done a great job, Jim Lehrer.) Romney must figure none of us asses will actually remember anything he said tonight anyway, (or what he's said before) so what the hell. A new low in cynical politics.
