That's fantastic news. Bernie fans may have hated her, but there was plenty for Clinton supporters not to like as well. All she needed to do was not give the appearance she was favoring Clinton, much like Obama was successful at doing. And she failed at it utterly. Clinton didn't need her help to win. The help Clinton needed was for DWS not to make an issue of herself in the campaign.

Many Clinton supporters and others have disliked DWS for years now. The issue is not her handling of the priamry, it's her shitty running of the DNC, where she fucks the party downticket and protects Republican seats held by friends of hers. And also her connectrions with the payday loan industry.

The thing is, this was always going to happen. It's how Dean got replaced. New nominee comes in, the head of the DNC basically becomes a figurehead and is then replaced.

Even without the Palin comparison, I still think mayor and Cabinet secretary is a little thin for the VP spot, but I hope you guys are right.

I think Gary Locke is a nice idea too.

The old rules don't matter because Trump has no experience. Personally I agree with you, but I don't think lack of experience will be a huge factor in who Clinton picks.

Locke would have been interesting. Pity he is out of politics.

I think Clinton is going to play it super safe. At this point she doesn't need a risky play to win, and she likely believes that she has it in the bag provided she doesn't fuck things up.

I'm going to guess Kaine.

Why did Crooked Leia risk her insignificant rebellion by having an affair with her coworker Han? Must run in the family. Bad for business!

We're going to build a great, great Clone Army so big, so beautiful. Smart and tough! The Jedi WILL pay for it

Dopey Han is weak on bounty hunters. My people tell me Greedo pulled the trigger first. Will keep pushing for truth!

There are so many gems.

That makes sense, and although I have nothing against Tim Kaine...yawn.

While Tim Kaine would be the safest pick, it would make the Democratic ticket one of the most boring in awhile (I say this as a big Clinton supporter). Not that I think politics needs to be exciting, and Trump is surely showing the dangers of "celebrity" politics, but I think Clinton would be well off picking a VP that has some personality.

Which is why my preferred choice is Tom Perez. The man is a good speaker, articulates well, and is overall charming. His lack of executive experience is certainly not favorable, but if it is a choice between him or someone like Castro (who heads an even lower valued Cabinet department), then I don't think it's a tough choice.

Trump has 30 paid staffers nationally.  This dumb motherfucker is running such a poor campaign he might actually put the House in play.  Goddamn, I am so optimistic about this election year, even if it'll expose a ton of sheer nastiness in the US electorate.

I've seen multiple sources that have the number closer to 70, but that's still  an awfully small number. His plan is to rely on the RNC to fill the gap, but given how he's pissing them off as of late I doubt they'll be of much help.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. Small target and everything*, and while Kaine generates zero excitement, he doesn't put anyone off or get the media asking awkward questions.

*Just as long as she doesn't pull a Thomas Dewey 1948.

My hunch is Kaine or Brown.  It's the best year ever to keep it safe.

Not Brown. Kasich gets to appoint the Senate replacement, and unlike Warren in Massachusetts, there's no convenient Democratic super-majority in the legislature to circumscribe the Governor's power.

A journalist went to a Trump rally. Here are his tweets: http://politicalscrapbook.net/2016/06/a-journalist-went-to-a-donald-trump-rally-yesterday-and-came-back-shocked-here-are-his-tweets/

Shocking? No. Revolting, terrifying? Yes and yes!

Highlight: T shirts with 'TRUMP THAT BITCH'.

Objective journalism lol. See what I want to see, hear what I want to hear. Funny how you instantly believe everything someone tweets.

I think it's very good advice for Trump supporters to not instantly believe everything someone tweets.

Just had an oddball idea for a VP pick. How about Jim Matheson from Utah? OK, it'd upset Sanders supporters, but it'd twist the knife into Trump's Mormon problem.

Inviting the Mormons to help defeat Trump is a recipe for disaster for gay people. The LDS is the largest organized religious group who's happy to dump millions of dollars into antigay laws.

In other words, sometimes, the enemy of my enemy is still just my enemy.
