While not one of the greatest of knights he did claim an improbable victory at the Tourney of Lannisport. His love life however is far different. His first wife died, upon her third miscarriage leaving him without an heir. His victory at the tourney, allowed him to claim Lynesse Hightower as his second. However, trying to keep a life of luxury for her proved too much and he resorted to the slave trade to keep up. For that he was exiled from Westeros, where he wandered the free cities selling his sword. Love number three came in the form of his queen, Danaerys Targaryen, of whom he was a member of the Queensguard. She rejects him for this and banishes him when learning of his past history. His is currently a slave.
