Raja
I really liked The Suburbs and it might be their best album, but I was disappointed with Reflektor which I think is their weakest by some distance. That's interesting. The second side of Reflektor is some of my favorite stuff, especially songs like Porno, Afterlife and Supersymmetry. For me, it's one of the only Arcade Fire albums I can listen to from start to finish without being tempted to skip a song. To be fair, my taste in music is becoming stranger every year. Love that tune Soylent posted. Excellent stuff. Edit: I'm listening to Daughter combining one of my favorite songs ( Perth- Bon Iver) with Ready for the floor by Hot Chip. It works really well. Ferrum Aeternum
Alcest - Autre temps (Album version) Alcest - Les voyages de l'âme  Getting the day started off right I see. This morning on the way into work I listened to the new Nightwish album, again. To say it's grown on me would be an understatement.

I think the second half is better than the first half of the album, there is some good stuff on there but also a lot of songs I thought were mediocre. To say it's grown on me would be an understatement. Of course, bro! I should tell you about one of the role-playing games I play sometimes. You'd love it. I created a tactician for it who's also a singer and pit fighter (accidentally looks like NCW). And he plays "acte d'autorité" - I based his band on Alcest. The name of the band is "Les merveilles d'hiver" - and I bet you get the allusion. Nightwish? Got it, but haven't listened to it so far.

Heh, nice way to say "Neige" without saying neige. Also, I need to know about this RPG! Pit fighters who play in rock bands!?! :stunned: Nightwish? Got it, but haven't listened to it so far. I think you'll like it. As Arkash and I both pointed out over in the metal thread, it may not grab you immediately but it gets better with repeated listens. :)

Seasick Shrimp
I have become childishly addicted to the song in this clip, the actual song starts around 1:55 but I recommend watching the whole clip for understanding the story and humor. Anyway, enjoy, it is so funny and such a lovely little melody all at once. :D the park ranger's (or whatever he is) soft voice and silly dancing just cracks me up every time, showing that some comedy actually is timeless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWcI9fUXJZ8
Scrambled Aegon
Just listened through Deep Blue Something's "Home" album and Gin Blossoms' "Congratulations I'm Sorry." Now listening to "Allison Road" by the Gin Blossoms, one of my all-time favorite and most played songs.

Myshkin
I caught Good Charlotte last night at a venue with only about 1,000 people. It was pretty sweet, but I was kind of surprised by their set (but did no homework to figure out if it was in fact surprising). If you listen to their records, they have rockers but they have atmosphere and experimental stuff aplenty. Their live show was almost exclusively rockers. ETA: Also hadn't done my homework in the form of watching youtube or whatever, but it was crazy how much of a showman Madden was.Come on man. OnionAhaiReborn
The Amazing - The Headless Boy Sounds like Nick Drake, I've been in love with this song since I first heard it a few months ago on NPR. Finally listening to the rest of the album... which doesn't sound much like this song, haha. But still good.
