Larry of the Lawn
I love it, personally. I'd estimate that shirt budget for the year is under $40. I go to Salvation Army or Good will and buy cheap t-shirts, which I demolish at work, but other than that I doubt if I buy a new shirt more than every couple years. Dr. Pepper
I wish I shirt thrifted more than I do. I buy these stylish things, but I actually think I just prefer jeans and tshirts. It would make more sense to buy them at thrift prices.

MercenaryChef
I grew up poor. I wore entirely too many used clothes. It is just not something I would ever do again.
Tears of Lys
I bought a purse that I love at a thrift shop. I've also bought many mistakes just because they were a name brand and a "good deal." It's not a good deal if you never use it. :dunce:

Elder Sister
I kind of love clothes. Like really love them. I'm not opposed to thrift stores, but they're not like junk stores. I seldom if ever, find anything exciting in there. I love vintage, but am not skinny enough to wear it.

From what I've seen, thrift stores in the South are much better than the ones up here in the North - probably because so many people dress like shit here. :P
litechick
Make friends with a stage hand. My buddy gets lots of crew shirts from me which he can then use to work out and do yard work. So long as you don't mind that it is yellow and says 'Brad Paisley--Lighting' on the back. The local union does a shirt bin where people can donate extraneous shirts for charity. You can always tell the 'good' shirts because they are black and only have the artist name on the front left lapel area. Those get kept and used so everybody seems to have a thing for Bruno Mars or whatever.
Liffguard
I buy very few shirts, for the simple reason that I find it close to impossible to find shirts that fit me. 99% of the shirts available on the high street look like dresses on me. Perhaps you should look among the dresses as they might look like shirts? :p
DreamSongs
I grew up poor. I wore entirely too many used clothes. It is just not something I would ever do again. :agree: I would rather have fewer quality pieces than more inexpensive pieces. T-shirts, I don't care about...they are for housework and yardwork. wolverine
I have three older brothers so I wore plenty of hand-me-downs. I don't know where they all come from, but I have a ton of t-shirts the way it is. I have to give another 10 or so away every year due to the collection growing. I get free ones coaching and from other various things. For some odd reason I still love buying another if it is super soft or fun.
