So I made up a solution which I think would be elegant but I know is wrong because you said the child was 'mostly Bran'. Given I know it can't be right, I can't be bothered to work it out in full. I thought it might be partly right though.

Selected people who died in ASOIF, in order. The person is described in terms of relationship to the POV of the chapter in which their death occurs. The first person, Knight is Ser Waymar - his status to the brothers with him is as a 'Ser'. Eddard's death is described by Arya, so he is 'Father'. Luwin's is observed by Bran, so he is 'Teacher'. I wasn't sure of mother and for child I thought probably Dany's unborn child.

Anyway it doesn't work but is it correct in any way?

Sorry, my riddle isn't quiet so eloborate. The order is probably not completely correct, I fear.

Anyway, I said "the child is kind of Bran", not "mostly Bran".

General hint to my riddle:

Some of the "persons" bidded farewell are real people, others are just concepts.

In a few hours you'll get your first characters, but if you're bored here is my own try at a riddle:

Farewell knight, farewell father, farewell mother, farewell teacher, farewell brother, farewell child. Farewell lord, farewell king?

Who or what is left?

Spoiler

Could we say that after all those farewells perhaps no one is left? is the answer Arya as a Faceless Woman? ... Or ... no?

A bear. There's always a bear - DG

The Stranger - Lady B

The Night's Watch - Lady B

Castellan asked if it was a list of people who had died, in order, and described by their relationship to the POV whose chapter they die in (eg father is Eddard, death shown in Arya's POV)

After all those farewells No one is left? Arya as a Faceless Woman? - Julia H

There are no farewells left - they are all used up SNA

Consolidated hints by YOMI

Spoiler

general hint:

Some of the 'persons" bidded farewell to are real people others are just concepts

in response to castellans ideas about Winterfell and Dany

The teacher is mostly Luwin and the child is kind of Bran

in response to castellan's muddled idea about the list of dead characters

Sorry my riddle isn't quite so elaborate. The order is a bit muddled I fear.

i hate riddles...but my guess is

Spoiler

the nightswatch oath... the farewells are the shit you have to give up to be the watcher on the wall....but if the question is what is missing, it is "farewell wife"...

Hmmm my first game with no prelims, just yes/no purchased hints. I am trying to work out if it is worth spending the points. And what questions could be asked?' This requires some thought. I have never been good at budgeting.
