Darryk
I don't know if even a penalty shootout can resolve this game as at this rate VAR will start ruling out penalties.
Soylent Brown
Robertson hasn't been great today. A lot of sloppy balls.
Soylent Brown
Kelleher is really bad at penalties. A proponent of the lie-down-and-play-dead school of goalkeeping.

Corvinus85
At the very least I can say that both teams showed they practice penalties. (except for Kepa)

ljkeane
Good final anyway. Pretty much even all the way through.

Iskaral Pust
That really ebbed and flowed today. Chelsea started better, then Liverpool had the lion’s share for most of the rest of normal time, but then Liverpool ran out of energy and ideas in ET. That’s three games now this season against Chelsea that were stalemates. I think we’re a comfortably better side than them overall but they’re very tough as a cup opponent because their first priority is to not get beat, and then trust that a big team opponent will take the initiative and allow them to counterattack. Diaz was really good up front but Mane and Salah weren’t great on the day. And our subs disrupted our rhythm when we had been on top. But obviously we had practiced our penalties. I hope Thiago returns quickly. We missed him. Keita wasn’t terrible but he just doesn’t offer as much.
BigFatCoward
Would it be possible for a goalkeeping substitution to go worse? Concede all 11 and then miss the crucial penalty. I suppose at least he didn't shit himself.
Iskaral Pust
Kelleher did well. I’m glad Klopp stuck by him but in a tight game like this, up against an excellent opposition keeper plus a penalty specialist keeper off the bench (*snigger*), the contrast and second-guessing would be harsh if he had put a foot wrong. Perhaps he should have stopped one of those penalties but he made up for it by scoring his own.

Sure, nothing outrageous, but with the Sarri incident a few years ago, the mind games, and the sillyarse stuff like offering VVD three quarters of the goal to shoot at (and VVD still beat him on the side he was standing on, haha!), he really isn't going to get all that much sympathy. Daemon the Leaner
This goalkeeping substitution looks even stranger after watching the game highlights. Mendy was immense. Chelsea have actually had a quite Man United game.
