DireWolfSpirit
Like to see more use of a drones eye view on some of these qb sneeks or goal pushes. Theres no reason we cant see the play from directly above these pileups, no reason except a lack of imagination from the NFL/Networks whomever is kiboshing it currently. My guess is its the rules committee, but maybe its straight networks laziness?

On the bright side, the Steelers' offense, unleashed from the shackles of Matt Canada's mind palace, gained over 400 yards for the first time since 2020 and contributed to the win in Cincinnati. dbunting
Frank Reich fired at Carolina already. Has to be related to Young, he was either dead set on getting him or against him?
Maithanet
Firing a coach after a single year used to be very unusual. Now we have guys getting canned before the first season is even over. I can't help but wonder what the point of such a firing is. Is Reich not listening to ownership on how to build for the future? That is IMO the only fireable offense at this point, since nothing in the win/loss column will make any difference.

Reich has never proven himself to be a good HC and you cannot let him continue to fail to develop Young, regardless of who he favored in the draft. They're probably going to have to trade him too if they get the top pick. Once again, never assume that because someone was really successful at one thing means they'll be great at everything. The Panthers have been a disaster under Tepper and he doesn't give off that he has the type of personality to look in the mirror and realize he's doing a bad job. Wilbur
Tepper was such a toxic personality that he was canned by Goldman Sachs. This should tell you all you need to know about him as an owner. Not that Reich was ever much of a coach. I'm not sure if any team has ever traded away a pick that then became the #1 overall. I know Washington traded their 2014 first round pick in the RG3 deal, which became the #2 pick. I was just about to point that out. Earlier in the year, it really looked like the Bears had a real shot at the 1 and 2 overall picks. I don't know if the "Trade Justin Fields and start over" train still has the steam it had in those first few weeks, but its definitely a possibility. Fields has been a disappointment, but is there a way actually measure his potential? The Bears have put absolute garbage around him. I doubt many young QBs could have survived that mess. If they have the #1 pick, it is gonna be really hard to trade that to another team (again) when the Fields era has been so miserable for Chicago. Yes, plenty of that isn't on Fields, but a fair bit of it is. I don't know what kind of market Fields would get right now, because he is both inconsistent and injury prone, and that's not exactly a winning formula for a quarterback after 3 years. He is averaging 161 passing yards per game over his career, and that number is not particularly increasing in year 3.
