Out of protest of the porn laws a guy/prick/upstanding gentleman in my office has been playing this over and over again.

Everyone is stuck been annoyance at the repetition and enjoyment of the song and appreciation of what it stands fpor

Jesus, you poor bastard. Were they ever funny?

Similar to not liking the Beatles, this is actually a crime in the UK.

Not liking the Beatles is entry level contrarianism. Had some decent songs but not god like.

Eta: if we're looking at old British comedy which is actually funny then you need to get on Hancock's Half Hour

In a hilarious twist, the man selected in South Basildon & East Thurrock (who was originally deselected to make way for Hamilton), has now had to resign as PPC for making homophobic and racist slurs.

Magic.

The whole saga appears to be a bout of party infighting, but with even less class than that usually entails. I love the membership survey discussed in the article too: the 'UKIP spokesman' appears to have spectacularly missed the point.

Suzanne Evans's defence on Daily Politics of this debable and UKIP's general performance this week was "at least we deal with our problems". I'm not sure that's a viable defence in the face of offending mothers (Nigel Farage on breastfeeding), offending homosexuals and ethnic minorities (Kerry Smith), someone making moves on someone else in the name of career advancement (Roger Bird and whatshername), and being bribed with donation money over making sure a disgraced former-MP gets a PPC nomination or not.

Quite a week for the Purple Party.

Chris Grayling has stolen Christmas, according to the bipartisan-sounding politics.co.uk - story here.

Oh, and Ed Miliband gave a speech. Another one. *Yawn*

It's amusing, but not quite as hilarious as the indie tries to make out.

On the other hand, did anyone catch his documentary last night? End the war on drugs. Obviously, he's got more to say, and can speak with greater authority on that, and comes across very well.
