I also watched The Croods, which I thought was average overall but had a really heartfelt third act. FREAKS AND GEEKS IS ON NETFLIX?!?!?!?! Misery is a favorite of mine. Solid movie, but unlike 2001, except for the ending, everything's explained like why they're doing what they're doing, what happened before, what they need to do, it leaves no room for metaphors. The storyline is all over the place, the dialogue is cheeseball, the acting isn't great, predictable ending, etc. But! It was beautiful to look at, had lots of action, and since I went in with low expectations I actually really enjoyed it. The most interesting characters to me were Sean Bean and Channing Tatum, and I'd love to see a movie about their backstory.
