Football: Boehly has a little Lamp

This is the thing, it doesn't seem like a remotely difficult problem to solve.  See how others sports deal with the problem and learn from it.

I would like a rule where a referee has to plant their feet when making a decision, as soon as someone barges into them get them sent off.  I remember referees running backwards away from Man Utd in the Keane era repeatedly and it set an absurd precedent.

Ferguson encouraged it, and it was endemic among them.

That's the problematic tradeoff between wanting to game to be properly refereed and to win extra points.

Basically same logic that fuels small attacks on democracy around the world, or leads us to not take climate action seriously: it matters little what *I* do, in the big picture. So *I* can tell my players to surround the ref, and get some leeway doing so.

That this just leads down the road to general disregard for the ref isn't seen as something *I* then contribute to. Because *my* actions were small, insignificant. And it paid off for me, too.

Shit, it looks like lampard is really happening. Madness.

Nah, Luis Enrique is London for talks. So Lampard is probably not happening.

Meanwhile Dortmund about to get knocked out of the German Cup, too.

They're trailing Leipzig by one goal, and RedBull are just the better team.

And 90+6 2-0 Leipzig (empty net goal)

Despite only a 1-0 win, that was a very good performance and an excellent response to the recent run of form. Energy did drop late, of course, but didn't collapse and we kept composed.

ETH responding to our midfield control issues by looking to the fullbacks was a good move.

Imagine spending more than half a billion players and the best coach you can get is Frank Lampard.

Imagine spending half a billion on players and the best player you can get is.... I don't know, who did they sign that wasn't shit?

West Ham rolled over last night. Some of their defending was fucking woeful. Seems we have our mojo back though, shame it started after we lost the final.

That's nothing that a couple of red cards wouldn't have fixed immediately.

Imagine that ref just stopping and Beckham, Stam and Butt knocking him over. Suspensions... suspensions everywhere! No one else would've tried to do it ever again.

Talking about West Ham, so you are looking forward to policing WH vs. Millwall next year in whatever league or not? :D

Enzo Fernandez does, to be fair, look pretty good.

Mudryk though, lol. He may yet come good with a system around him that makes sense and a manager that knows how to use him, but so far he's been dreadful
