Well, yeah, if you haven't seen Die Hard and didn't know how great it is you really should! It's a great movie

It is also almost a perfect holiday movie to share with the family, young and old alike, come December...

Barbie is PG-13 right? So it’s not a kids movie. But then that rating is more based on some of its saucy language rather than whether the content is likely to go over their head.

It's PG over here, which according to the Australian government's classification system, says the following:

PG: The impact of PG (Parental Guidance) classified films and computer games should be no higher than mild, but they may contain content that children find confusing or upsetting and may require the guidance of parents, teachers or guardians. For example, they may contain classifiable elements such as language and themes that are mild in impact. PG-rated content is not recommended for viewing by people under the age of 15 without guidance from parents, teachers or guardians.

Russia is illegally showing Barbie.  By illegal -- not licensed to do so by the studio, and prohibited by the Russian government.  It's breaking attendance records, while people and shops are wearing, buying and selling Pink everything.

It's on VOD so there are quality digital copies out there now.

You know, if official barbie film merch makes it to the former Soviet Union or the film boosts toy sales there, it's still a win for the capitalist american pig dogs.

They did something similar for Avatar 2, except those were actual cam copies; which is amazing.

I wonder if the studios are going to be able to sue.

Those Russians are going to be in for a shock when they realise it's not a fluff piece about a plastic toy but a deconstruction of feminism. I wonder how well 'The Patriarchy' translates into Russian.

Well the term does exist - патриархат, and it means pretty much the same thing in Russian as it does in English, if that answers your question?
