GooseFM
It could only be because Bantam believes that GRRM's ADwD will see the light this fall. They wouldn't want their two heavyweights to be released around the same period of time. I hate marketing.
Nathan Stinson
I thought it was June?
Werthead
It is. June 2009 Oh hang on, that's Rothfuss. I think Lynch is pencilled in for February, because he missed his delivery date to get it out this summer.
Calibandar
The US hardcover is scheduled for February 24th, but the UK one is coming out in June. Which is suspicious, given that with the first two books, the UK release was earlier. The Late february date sounds plausible enough by Bantam, it is a signficant delay after all. But the fact that Gollancz has pushed it for June might indicate we see Bantam move it back even further. Rothfuss comes out April next year btw. Lord Baelish
That really does look crap. Is that meant to be Locke on the front? If so, it looks nothing like I imagined him.

Lord Baelish
... It is indeed a woman. Not quite sure how I didn't notice that the first time. Still, doesn't take away from the fact that it's a rubbish cover, IMO.

Altherion
Can somebody elaborate on why they think the cover is bad? I don't think it's great, but nor does it strike me as worthy of condemnation.

It's just got that "generic fantasy book" sort of cover. Nowhere near as bad as the US Malazan covers though.
Shevchyk
I'll take the U.S. cover art for Republic of Thieves any day over the Russian cover for TLOLL.
Nymeria87
I'll take the U.S. cover art for Republic of Thieves any day over the Russian cover for TLOLL. Ugh..I second that. That cover looks like your standard cliched fantasy cover from back in the 80s....
RedEyedGhost
I'll take the U.S. cover art for Republic of Thieves any day over the Russian cover for TLOLL. That is appalling. edit: jeez, I can't even type a three word sentence without having to edit it...
Larry.
I may be in the minority opinion, but I like that cover better than the US or UK ones for RSURS.
