TheTowerOfJoy
3. Cersei herself kills him in a moment of supreme mental instability. This is my bet. The show foreshadowed it during the Blackwater.

MegaAIP
There really is no reason to have him killed though. Cersei no longer holds power no matter what happens with the trial. Tyrells now pretty much hold the throne and with Kevan and Pyrcell out of the way it's theirs to loose. I can't see tyrells siding with aegon no matter what at this point, and even less depending where dorne sides. As it stands tyrells have a large army and fleet if not largest. They pretty much hold the throne and all the power. It would be very easy for them to either hold Tommen hostage or just have him escorted back to the rock, heck as the head lannister and as young as he is why not mold him to be a good and loyal tyrell servent. Why not use him as the link between tyrell and lannister.

Sweetgirl205
Cersie does it. Now whether whe will do it in a fit of rage or in some weird way protecting him is my question.

averde
I don't think Tommen will die. Him and Ser Pounce have promising careers as Westeros version of Blues Clues. In all seriousness I just don't see him dying. A young child who is impressionable, loves kittens, and has no interest in politics or ruling is most likely going to be exiled. Petyr Patter
I think Varys almost certainly has a plan to kill Tommen. A dead Tommen would almost outright end the Highgraden and Lannister alliance. Yet, a murdered Tommen would be bad propaganda for Aegon, and leave open a long lasting feud with his still living relatives and the Westerlands as a whole. So, it best look like Tommen died of natural causes. A slow acting poison? Disease laced pudding? Somehow dying in a practice joust? That is my guess. Mithras
I think as Cersei tries to avoid the prophecy, she will sink deeper into it. First she wanted to prevent the prophecy by killing Tyrion (who she thinks as the valonqar). The poisoned pie meant for Tyrion was eaten by Jofrey, which means Cersei is the one who killed her son. I think her other children will share the same fate, i.e be killed by Cersei in her foolish acts of escaping the prophecy. Cersei thinks the younger and more beautiful queen in the prophecy is Marg. So she framed her to prevent the prophecy. That plan backfired and caused her downfall. Thanks to Varys, she will again come into the poisiton of power. Her framing of Marg will be the direct cause of the events that will lead to Tommen's death. So all the following options are equally valid for this interpretation: 1. The Tyrells kill him in revenge when Margaery is executed.2. UnGregor accidentally kills him (think of the stable boy when Gregor and Oberyn fought) during Cersei's trial.3. Cersei herself kills him in a moment of supreme mental instability.
