nekrohsis
He'll probably get there in one piece--he's pretty strong and if he goes along the coastline he'll find plenty to eat. I can see him joining Brienne on her travels. I can also see Briennedry as a possibility.
WinterWarrior
I was hoping Davos will ask saladon Saan to take him to the free cities and he might reunite with arya but he's back where he started.I was hoping for this as well. Maybe Salador Saan will find him in the water and pick him up anyway. I'd like to see him in Braavos......
CakeOfTheMorning
A fairy-tale parody: Gendry learns that the evil Walder Frey married one of his vicious offsprings to Arya Stark. So, Gendry heads to the Twins, defeats a lot of Freys with his badass hammer skills ala BobbyB, climbs the keep and arrives into a veiled arya's room, only to discover she is a fake. Montey14
1) The Free cities: not bloody likely2) Back to the Riverlands: After what Beric pulled on him I don’t see that happening3) Accompany Davos to Skagos: I think he would cramp Davos Style4) The Wall to form a bastard tandem with JS. Possibly, especially considering the fact that Sam leaves JS and that he is without a best friend then. They might blend Satin and Iron Emmet’s role in one for him.5) The Vale: I have speculated that Gendry in tWoW ends up in the Vale alongside Brienne and the remnants of the BWB. They might send him to the Vale a lot sooner in the series. If they send him now than he could replace Mya Stone when Sansa arrives there.ð My personal preference would be 5) but I could live with 4). What do you think?Where do you think he'll end up? EDIT: I have just seen the episode and it appears that he’ll be going to Kingslanding. That means that there are two options:1) Gendry can’t row for shit and he winds up in the Vale instead of in KL. There he’ll replace Mya Stone as a friend to Alayne Stone.2) Gendry gets back to Kingslanding. There he’ll bump into Brienne, who’ll recognize him as kin to Renly. After the PW, he’ll accompany her and Pod the Sexgod (or maybe they kill Podd of next season, that could be possible) in search for Sansa. In waht capacity would he repalce Mya Stone? Mya Stone is the mule handler and easily makes friends with Sansa.....Would Gendry take up as armoror at the Vale ...would there be a possible romantic spark for them....wouldn't Lysa recognize him as a Baratheon and if so why would she take him on ? Nox Irradiata
I've really enjoyed the actor playing Gendry and I'm looking forward to seeing more of him in future seasons. Arya/Hound/Gendry/Brienne huntin' Freys in the Riverrrrlands! :D
Broken Fox
There's no way Lysa could know he's a Baratheon. There are tons of people in Westeros with black hair/blue eyes. Ned only identified him as Robert's son because he did some detective work.
fuseprime
I don't think Gendy will land in KL. I have been dead wrong when it comes to predicting things in this show in the past, but I think him showing up in the Vale is a strong possibility. However, I think one can make a case for him crash landing due to a storm in the Narrow Sea. Gendry washes upon shore and then some of the BWB picks him up, perhaps Thoros will be there most likely. He gets all riled up with them and then he finds out about Beric REALLY dying and he comes along anyway. They go on some journeys through the Kingswoods to kill screen time.Lady Stoneheart will not have her reveal yet, that might come when they rendezvous with the rest of the group and low and behold there's a Frey hanging. Cue credits end Season 4.You split this up between four episodes with 8 minute scenes in each one. There you go. You now have Gendry back with the Brotherhood, you have more Brotherhood scenes, and the story is book authentic-ish.
Darth Pipes
Maybe Gendry will replace Ser Hyle Hunt. Gendry is Renly's nephew and as I recall, Brienne is also looking for Arya. So they have a reason to help each other As far as Gendry knows, Arya is still with the Brotherhood. By the time Brienne confronts Stoneheart, Gendry will be back where he was in AFFC. Envie
I really think they set it up on purpose to make viewers skeptical that he's ever going to possibly make it to King's Landing:1. Davos rushes him out there with some mumbo jumbo about following a star to get there ...2. Gives him a tiny bag of food and water, definitely not enough to get all the way there, warns him not to drink sea water, wtf...3. The kid doesn't even know how to sit in the rowboat the right direction ...4. Gendry can't swim5. Those oars looked like sticks.I think it was pretty obvious our boy won't make it to King's Landing. More than likely will row around in circles awhile, get caught in some tidal currents and end up wandering around until someone finds him or he finds them, and that's the part that's anybody's guess at this point. They may have just left it open ended to utilize wherever it works once they know exactly how they want to fill in all those other GIANT PLOT HOLES they created with this final episode. chimere
After looking at a map, he's either gonna end up in Duskendale or King's Landing and meet Brienne, or he's going to get turned around, go all the way around Clackclaw Point and end up at the Saltpans. Depending on how they do it, they can have Gendry and Arya barely miss each other as she is going from the Crossroads Inn to the Saltpans and he is coming from the Saltpans to the Crossroads Inn... for the drama. However, since Arya (probably) isn't going to sail off into the sunset until episode 9 or 10, I doubt they're going to have Gendry rowing around the whole season lol. My money is on him getting to Duskendale and meeting Brienne there.
The father of white walker
I predict Gendry to be picked by Salaador Saan and sold as a slave at Bravos. He will have a few miss-opportunities with Arya that will make the audience wait for their reunion, and then he will disappear. Next she sees his body in the house of the faceless men

By the time Brienne confronts Stoneheart, Gendry will be back where he was in AFFC.This is what makes the most sense to me. I think Gendry is one of those characters (like Osha and Theon) that D & D want to write into more episodes than they appeared in in the books - basically, that they're popular characters. I definitely don't think we've seen the last of him and I think that whatever plot twist they use, they'll eventually have him back where he was in AFFC. D & D add to/subtract from book events, but they don't make outlandish changes that are totally foreign to the books.
Frumpus
I think gendry will never be seen again, just like he's never going to be seen again in the books.
Envie
I think gendry will never be seen again, just like he's never going to be seen again in the books. Why on earth would they go through all the character buildup and adding extra scenes and storyline that didn't exist in the books if they're just going to push the kid out to sea in a rowboat to never be seen again? That doesn't make any sense at all. Why bother. What a letdown if that's the end of Gendry. Waste of screen time. I don't think that's the end of Gendry. Harold II
Gendry is going to Kings Landing.Ice gets reforged into Widows Wail and Oathkeeper in Kings Landing before the Purple Wedding. In Season 4 I think they will have Gendry do it. I'm not sure if they will keep him in KL to be involved in what happens there. Then he will head North to rejoin the Brotherhood without Banners. This would set him up for a future possible reforging of Ice which a lot of people think will happen. silentwanderer
I think gendry will never be seen again, just like he's never going to be seen again in the books. And I fear he's riding north as soon as he hears about the Red Wedding. As far as he was concerned, the Brotherhood had already sold Arya to her family by the time the Freys killed Robb.TV Gendry should be worry sick about her once he hears the news in King's Landing. Newstar
I like the idea of Gendry making it to King's Landing, joining up with Pod and Brienne and heading out with them on their quest (not quite sure why he would, unless he wants to look for Arya and figures he might as well travel with Pod and Brienne if they're going to the Riverlands anyway). If it's important for plot purposes that he wind up with the BWB, he could still make it back there and join up with them (once he's hashed out his issues with them on the show, LOL). Harold II
Gendry's character is centred on:his relationship with the Starks through Arya, his status as a Baratheon bastardhis skill as a smithI think its going to be important in tWoW that Gendry is in the crowd when Jamie and Brienne turn up with the BwB. I also think he will be the one to reforge Ice.So, for the TV show, it makes sense to talk up Gendry's ability as a smith and have him forge Widows Wail and Oathkeeper. He will be there at the right time anyway. They then need to get him back to the BwB before tWoW, which will be 3-4 TV series away. That is a long time to fill in for a main character, so in the meanwhile they will tack his story onto other main events along the way - he may be involved in some of the following: Purple Wedding, Sansa's escape, fall out from Tywin's death, Brienne's mission, Jamie cleaning up the riverlands, BwB killing Freys.I think he will stay in Kings Landing for at least the majority of season 4. I don't think he will go North with Brienne, because he saves her life and they meet for the first time. He will probably go north late season 4/early season 5. I think he will leave Kings Landing with Jamie's party.
Hiram McDrogon
1. Davos rushes him out there with some mumbo jumbo about following a star to get there ...It's been a long while since I've read anything about navigation by the stars let alone done it, but is there any way that could work? North Star yeah, but first, does Westeros even have one, and second, that's definitely not the direction he wants to go. Otherwise, the star's going to keep moving. (Or maybe we've just gotten some bizarre spoiler about the astronomy in Westeros, which could also explain the seasons.)xkcd kind of explains the following a star thing: http://what-if.xkcd.com/25/
