Arataniello
Awakens from what? This seems rather a generic title for the first film of a trilogy. Standing by for enlightenment in some form or other in the near future.
JonArryn
Really bad title imo
Rhom
I'm okay with it. Better than "A New Hope" from a conceptual standpoint. (Yes, I know that movie was essentially just titled Star Wars.). Definitely better than "Attack of the Clones."
Werthead
I'm more bemused that they dropped the Episode VII moniker. I thought the idea was that VII, VIII and IX would be identified by their numbers as part of the 'main' story and it was the side-movies which would just be Star Wars Colon Generic Crap. Trebla
I'm hoping the Force Awakens to a whole bunch of Sith warriors. I always hated the whole stupid Sith "Rule of 2". I want great big Jedi/Sith battles!!!

Stannis Eats No Peaches
Could be a lot worse. The Force has been dormant, so nobody has been able to use it?
sologdin
dude brought balance to the force in episode VI per prophetics of episode I; now that it is properly balanced, it can wake the fuck up. luke will therefore merge with the awakened force and turn into a huge worm that rules the empire. Myrddin
Balance has been reached (through severe reduction). Now both sides can start building up again....
Arataniello
Maybe the Force awakens, finds Obiwan in the shower, and realizes that the previous six movies were all a dream? (see - 'Dallas', for all you spratlings who did not experience the 80s).
Corvinus85
The titles were always kinda cheasy...But when was the force ever asleep? :PIt makes as much as sense as the Force being out of balance.
1918me
I don't know why, but I think something about seeing an official title got me really pumped for this movie. You might say it awakened my inner Star Wars nerd. :leaving:
Stannis Eats No Peaches
According to the extended universe it hasn't. But I think Disney said its no longer canon. Which is kind of a bitch slap to all the people who spent time writing and planning the universa and timeline. Well I've never read any of the EU and I don't want the next films to have to stick to it, so I really don't see that as a bad thing,
Myrddin
It makes as much as sense as the Force being out of balance. Well, the ying is now in balance with the yang the light with the dark the earth with the sky the chocolate with the peanut butter
sologdin
episode I was initially balance of the force, and VI was revenge of the jedi--so it's at least a 33% chance that this one's title gets revised before release to something even sillier. maybe it should be amended to the thousandfold force, in which geriatric JK must defeat invasion of nihilistic hedonist transhumans who seek to genocide entire world because sadism-religion. Renasko
Terrible title, IMO. I will still probably weep at just the teaser trailer, though.
