I feel worried for Arsenal here. It feels like the buildup to that time when we wacked them 8-2.  And it's November for added misery for them. Hope I'm wrong.

They probably lose. Their starting line up is nuts. They're playing a 4-3-3 that we haven't played at all this season and likely haven't really drilled since that's not how they train. One legitimate CB, Coquelin who played terrible mid week, Iwobi who hasn't been good for awhile, no natural striker. It's a recipe for disappointment. We'll see.

Salah gets the nod as MotM, but Bobby was unreal in this game. If he can improve his finishing, that would be amazing, but so much of his work goes under the radar. He's good at hold-up play, take-ons, has got great vision and brazilian trickery and an astounding workrate..

Agreed. Bobby was awesome. Still needs to sharpen up his passing (and yeah finishing) a bit though imo.  He gives it away too much but makes up for it with how much he wins it back. Him and Salah seem to have developed some good chemistry.

Cant wait for Lallana and Coutinho to be back after the international break. Close to the strongest possible 11. Just need Clyne.

Arsenal needed help with fair decisions. An offside goal when they just get it back to 2-1 is a kick to the balls. Thought the penalty was weak too even if I’m not surprised it was called. Sterling slowed down looking for the shoulder to shoulder contact.

So again we try to shoehorn Rooney and Sigurdsson into the same team.

Also, while I think Lennon is a model professional, and has great pace, why is he on the bench today (and in the team the last couple of weeks), while Vlasic - who offers at least the possibility of something creative - isn’t even in the squad? Baffling.

I wanted to praise Liverpool for winning away despite missing Coutinho, Lallana, Henderson, Lovren and Clyne (because we're missing half our starters every week) but this was a game of fine margins that could have been tougher going.

We didn't create much in the first 30 minutes but were finally more clinical in taking those chances, before our chance creation improved late on as West Ham tired.  Mane (great to have him back at least!) was pretty rusty and slightly tentative despite two great assists, Ox was a passenger despite scoring (at the second attempt) and the rotation of our front four in the first half certainly confused West Ham but also confused themselves: there was a period of five minutes or more where Ox was at #9, Salah was at #10 and the right wing was empty.  But it was a good game to get Mane back to match sharpness and we managed through a midfield disruption of Henderson out and Gini playing through an ankle injury from midweek.

Gomez made a horrendous error for Lanzini to score but played quite well afterward.  This is the risk of blooding young defenders.

If Ayew had scored West Ham's early (fortunate) chance instead of clipping the post, then it could have been different.  We kept more men at the back throughout the game but still had individual shaky moments.

Milner and Solanke were good subs.  Solanke should have come on sooner for more playing time.

Salah, Firmino, Sane and Can, in descending order, had the best performances IMO.

Azpi to Morata has been the only consistent thing for Chelsea this season so far. Overall, great game to this point for Chelsea, and deserve the 3 points. Bakayoko has had chances with a more offensive role but god damn does his touch suck.

Great performance from Chelsea. All this talk about a crisis at Chelsea, yet after 11 games we are only one point behind Tottenham and Man United, having beaten both of them already this season. For some reason, though, despite that and the fact Poch won nothing last season and Jose only won two minor cup competitions last season while Conte won the PL, it is Conte 'under pressure' and not them.

Hopefully we can show the kind of intensity we showed today more consistently now. Kante definitely makes a difference. When he plays, Fabregas is a completely different player - totally deserving of his man of the match award.
