Has anyone found that the search on Amazon for books by publishing date doesn’t seem to work anymore? I used to use this frequently to check out what was coming out, with a longer run way. It doesn’t really work any longer. The change must have happened over the last week.

Just tried it and works for me, although my method is a bit different.

I type in the publisher name, hit search and then from filter options, I choose either 'coming soon' or 'publication date'.

Having searched for Orbit Books , I got results till late 2024 and as a bonus KJ Parker released a new book on the 3rd of this month , first in a new trilogy, with the 2nd and 3rd books out in November and December!

The Corax Trilogy (3 book series)

Currently, I'm rereading Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan and just noticed that he has a new book called MoonboundThe publication date is June 11.

Also, Dennis E. Taylor expects Bobiverse 5 to be published in January or February.  Is it normal for a book not to have a title this close to publication?

Anyone know what this is about?

The ISBN only comes up here and on a German publisher's site, and the title was originally a placeholder title for Seveneves.

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Termination Shock, the first installment in a monumental new trilogy—an expansive historical epic of intrigue and international espionage, presaging the dawn of the Atomic Age.

The new Penric & Desdemona ebook is out. i had no idea there was a new one in the works!

Demon Daughter (Penric & Desdemona, Book 12) by Lois McMaster Bujold

https://www.amazon.com/Daughter-Penric-Desdemona-McMaster-Bujold-ebook/dp/B0CRR62CNL

Bujold usually seems to announce them about a month before they come out so there's not much advance warning. It's been a while since she last published a story so nice to see another one.

A Tide of Black Steel (Age of Wrath Book 1) by Anthony Ryan | Sep 24, 2024

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tide-Black-Steel-Age-Wrath/dp/0316574589/

From the international bestselling author Anthony Ryan comes the spectacular first novel in a new epic new fantasy trilogy inspired by Norse mythology.

A new age has dawned. An age of blood and steel. An age of wrath.

The land of Ascarlia, a fabled realm of bloodied steel and epic sagas, has been ruled by the Sister Queens for centuries. No one has dared question their rule.

Until now.

Whispers speak of longships of mysterious tattooed warriors, sailing under the banners of a murderous cult of oath-breakers long thought extinct. A tide of black steel that threatens to vanquish all in its path.

Thera of the Blackspear, favoured servant of the Sister Queens, is ordered to uncover the truth. As Thera sails north, her reviled brother, Felnir, sets out on his own adventure. He hopes to find the Vault of the Altvar - the treasure room of the gods - and win the Sister Queens' favour at his sister's expense.

Both siblings - along with a brilliant young scribe and a prisoner with a terrifying, primal power - will play a part in the coming storm.

The Age of Wrath has begun.

https://www.hachettebookgroup.com/titles/tasha-suri/the-lotus-empire/9780316538602/

The Lotus Empire brings Tasha Suri’s acclaimed Burning Kingdoms trilogy to a heart–stopping close. As an ancient magic returns to Ahiranya and threatens its very foundations, Empress Malini and priestess Priya will stop at nothing to save their kingdoms—even if it means they must destroy each other.

Malini has claimed her rightful throne as the empress of Parijatdvipa, just as the nameless gods prophesied. Now, in order to gain the support of the priesthood who remain loyal to the fallen emperor, she must consider a terrible bargain: Claim her throne and burn in order to seal her legacy—or find another willing to take her place on the pyre.

Priya has survived the deathless waters and now their magic runs in her veins. But a mysterious yaksa with flowering eyes and a mouth of thorns lies beneath the waters. The yaksa promises protection for Ahiranya. But in exchange, she needs a sacrifice. And she's chosen Priya as the one to offer it.

Two women once entwined by fate now stand against each other. But when an ancient enemy rises to threaten their world, Priya and Malini will find themselves fighting together once more – to prevent their kingdoms, and their futures, from burning to ash.

It does sound like Feist might be disappointed with the sales for his new setting and is trying to link it to the more successful Riftwar books, but I think most Riftwar fans had grown tired of that series long before it came to its end.

*Feist* had grown tired of the Midkemia books long before it came to its end. He was phoning it in for fifteen years.

Revealing Moonbound by Robin Sloan

https://www.tor.com/2024/01/17/cover-reveal-moonbound-by-robin-sloan/

Author Robin Sloan expands the Penumbraverse to new reaches of time and space in a rollicking far-future adventure. We’re thrilled to share the cover of Moonbound, available June 11 2024 from MCD Books.

In Moonbound, Robin Sloan has written a novel with the full scope and ambitious imagination of the very books that lit the engines of Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore: an epic quest as only Sloan could conceive it, mixing science fiction, fantasy, good old-fashioned literary storytelling, and unrivaled enthusiasm for what’s next.

It is eleven thousand years from now… A lot has happened, and yet a lot is still very familiar. Ariel is a boy in a small town under a wizard’s rule. Like many adventurers before him, Ariel is called to explore a world full of unimaginable glories and challenges: unknown enemies, a mission to save the world, a girl. Here, as they say, be dragons. But none of this happens before Ariel comes across an artifact from an earlier civilization, a sentient, record-keeping artificial intelligence that carries with it the perspective of the whole of human history—and becomes both Ariel’s greatest ally and the narrator of our story.
