Is there a trophy for being best manager for coming second or bottling the league thrice now? Klopp even said today in an interview, he collects relationships not trophies. Is there a trophy for relationships? Loser mentality. Sometimes it's hard to understand why so many football fans really hate the supporters of the top clubs. Until shit like this gets said. He's went toe to toe with supposedly the greatest manager of all time on a fraction of the budget many times. They've never choked, just been outlasted by a fucking juggernaut. Rorshach
I do expect Liverpool fans to feel the effect of Klopp next season. To my mind, he's the biggest star of the team and has been since he arrived. Mexal
A Horse Named Stranger
Liverpool only have them self to blame for dropping points today. They should have put that game out of reach in the first half. Salah was arguably the main culprit. But old football trueisms if you don't take your chances, your opponent will. I understand the anger, but I think the Quansah rage is a bit displaced. He has played a really solid season overall. Dumb brainfart, could've happened to Arnold, or Konate or even van Dijk. Then Quansah's brainfart gifted United a goal out of pretty much thin air and that has breathed life into them. Mainoo's goal was really well taken, but defensively it felt like Liverpool lacked aggression/intensity whatever. . As for the penalty. I don't think that was particularly soft tbh. Liverpool fans would've had a more legit grievance if it had not been given. As for the drama, sheesh. Going by some of the doom and gloom posts you'd assume that Liverpool has been mathematically eliminated from the title race. They are merely behind on GD for now. Heartofice
United are so terrible, but are somehow in 6th. It makes so little sense. Bruno's goal kind of sums it up, the whole side has no plan or cohesion but they have a handful of very gifted players who just seem to pull the team out of a hole. It just happens so often it's infuriating.

Consigliere
United have been on the end of a shit load of poor refereeing decisions all season. This belief that United have somehow had so much luck throughout the season is a delusion of the biased.

He leaves the man he should be covering, Endo, and gambles to press Van Dijk. If Quansah takes a split second longer and sees him go, he can turn the ball round the corner to Endo in midfield and United are in trouble. If Quansah doesn't mishit the pass he's not getting there and Liverpool can just play round him. I think that's why Quansah mishits the pass. He's passing to Van Dijk because Hojland is pressing him and he 'knows' Fernandes has to cover the deepest midfielder so it should be an easy pass to Van Dijk then he sees Fernandes going as he's playing the pass and tries to change his mind halfway through. Bah. Bruno also being the last man in defence later in the game just shows the way he's playing the game. I'm sure United fans have a better idea of what to make of him, but personally he doesn't seem to be an overall positive to the team. I get that he is highly skilled, and does at least try, but he doesn't have discipline and does too much. I also don't know how much his emotionality is useful. Consigliere
That's got nothing to do with luck or the moronic notion that referees are favouring United. The main reason that United are 6th is because Chelsea and Newcastle have been just as shit. United, Chelsea and Newcastle have been so shit that even 5th place is out of reach for all 3 clubs with 7 games left to play (8 games for Chelsea). Heartofice
United are 11 points behind Villa, and one point off West Ham with a game in hand. That highlights the way the league is going right now and is a better indicator of their level than their position. United should be even lower though, too many games this season they really have not deserved to get the points they have. If they were 11th or 12th I don't think it would be too undeserving. Consigliere
Everton given an additional two point deduction for breaching PSR.
Consigliere
Everton club statement: Quote In January 2024, Everton were charged by the Premier League for breaching the permitted Profit and Sustainability thresholds for the assessment period ending 2022/23. The matter was referred to a Premier League Commission, which has today announced Everton will receive an immediate two-point deduction. While the Club’s position has been that no further sanction was appropriate, the Club is pleased to see that the Commission has given credit to the majority of the issues raised by the Club, including the concept of double punishment, the significant mitigating circumstances facing the Club due to the war in Ukraine, and the high level of co-operation and early admission of the Club’s breach. Everton remains committed to working collaboratively with the League on all matters relating to PSR but is extremely concerned by the inconsistency of different commissions in respect of points deductions applied. The Club would like to place on record its thanks to the Fan Advisory Board and other fan groups for their submissions during this process, and to all Evertonians for their ongoing patience and unstinting support. The Club and its legal representatives have begun the preparations to appeal the Commission’s decision. No further comment will be made at this time.
