Fox's Fantastic Four reboot

With all the comic book adaptation talk in this forum, I don't believe there's been much Fantastic Four talk. Fox is supposedly going to finalize casting by the end of the month and Kit Harrington and Richard Madden are rumored to be reading for the Mr. Fantastic role. However, Miles Teller is seems to be the favorite.

Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan are up for Invisible Woman, and interestingly enough, Michael B. Jordan seems to be the last man standing for Johnny Storm. I guess he's...adopted?

How soon is the property up for grabs though?

I know some said that Amazing Spider-Man had to hit theaters ASAP or else Marvel got that back... But SM3 was in 2007 with TAS in 2012; while Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer was also in 2007.

I'd like to see Marvel get their hands on FF, if only for their rogues gallery.

I can see Michael B Jordan with Johnny's personality, but I can't really see either of those actresses as the Invisible Woman. And Miles Teller seems like kind of a stretch. Mara, Ronan, and Teller just don't really seem action hero-y to me. And Teller and Ronan seem sort of young. Eh, what do I know. Though maybe if they go another way with Sue Storm, they could try to find a black actress?

Weird choice for The Thing. Sure CGI can do a lot, but you think of Ben Grimm as being somewhat intimidating even before the radiation.
Mr. Fantastic may literally have the most punchable face I have ever seen, which could work if they play up his douche bag qualities.

He looks like he could be a member of One Direction

The biggest problem with Fantasic Four is that they are kind of lame. No recasting is going to make them less lame. It's almost precisely the same issue that DC had with Green Lantern; he's just not that interesting of a hero. FF has an advantage in their main villain being fucking awesome, but Doom would be a better solo villain or avengers meta-villain than being relegated to FF.

I agree in the sense that the F4 are pretty terrible and Doom is awesome. I think the should blow everyobdy's minds and have the movie center around Doom with the F4 as the "villains".
